See, when you're not a part of the filmy family and have no connections with the industry people, it's a whole new ball game altogether. Leave talent and looks aside, first and foremost you need to have enough confidence and shamelessness to try your luck in Bollywood. Middle class families would never initially support their kids when they will say ki "main actor banna Chahta Hoon". They will either laugh at you, scold you or tell you that what you're thinking is just a pipe dream. Convincing your parents is the first struggle for outsiders.

Then there is the struggle of living in Mumbai. You at least have to do a part time job to make ends meet in such a costly city. The job should be good enough to feed your stomach but also not be too draining to take away all your energy. Otherwise when will you focus on your career in Bollywood?

After you take care of all these things, then only you can progress further. Now coming to the actual struggle, you need to make contacts with the casting directors. Here the outsiders need to have the street smartness to do that. They have to give auditions, they have to agree with the casting couch, they can't decline favors. That's how it is.

Entering through modelling is a good way. But you've to take care of your of your health, body and skin. Eating proper food and going to gym will again cost you a fortune.

Also you need to have the talent, looks, aura and charisma to impress people in the first impression itself. There are 1000s of strugglers in Mumbai who want to get a break in bollywood. If you want to become a mainstream hero, and are from a middle class family without any connections, then doing television is also not a bad idea. It worked for Sushant who years after Akshay is the only outsider who made it without strong backing.

So no, delusional 🌟 kids won't be able to make it, because well, they are delusional 🌟 kids. If they had been outsiders then they won't be them. They will have a different upbringing and personality.

Totally agreed

It's high time starkids really need to acknowledge the fact that they have the privileges also they know many internal tricks which the outsiders are not even aware of

Everything said and done, ultimately its the producer who decides whom he wants to put his money on and the directer to trust that the actor can pull off what he or she had envisioned. Ananya has screen presence but shes very young and lives in a bubble and it backfires on social media. Shes got some good 3 to 4 films and that will decide the fate for her. U need talent to survive in the long run. Jese tese aap pohonch toh jaoge but survival is hard. Kismat it is at the end of day. And Masand did not bring the nepotism debate. Abhimanyu did because he did not get airport looks😭

And I think producers like kjo feels that agar film na bhi chali toh it will get the attention because of the starkid. Like tomorrow if he casts Ibrahim Ali khan in a movie then it will obviously create a buzz. As for ananya, till now I haven't found her impressive at all but let's see if she improves

Except ranbir, ranveer and probabaly kareena no other insider or starkid would have been able to make it. Tiger can't act, jahnvi neither is good looking nor she can act. The 7 films she has got might help her improve but outsiders don't get these chances. Ananya got nothing special. Sara may have potentional but naa she wouldn't have been selected either until she sleep with director to get roles.

Star kids do achieve their looks through multiple surgeries 😆 Infact I feel like they only concentrate on their looks cause somehow with their money they can achieve it.Gym jao, doctor ke clinic dauro bas u r done. Talent and skills needs hardwork which most don't want to do, which is why even Bollywood as an industry emphasises on good looks as a criteria more than real talent and skills cause thats how they can push their own into it. Jo bhi paise se khareeda ja saake woh hi essential ho jaata hai for them.

Otherwise honestly I feel good looks is just added aesthetics. It can't be equal to talent and skills. It shouldn't be.
