Asim and Mahira- Two similar personalities playing two different games

I feel Asim n Mahira r both similar personalities but both played differently so obvious they looked different.

I find a lot of similarities between the two-

Both r the youngest

Both r Kashmiris

Both have less but true friends

Both can take strong stand when they want to

Both can get annoyed easily

Both have a good heart

Both have anger issues

Both can give savage replies(Asim is better here)

Both were a shadow of another contestant in the start(while one of them managed to get out)

Both can differentiate between right and wrong

Both love their family immensely

If we see at the start, Asim and Mahira both were thought to be evicted long time back and were not potential candidates for Top 6 at the end of first month

If we looked at their entire journey, they both played a totally different game which is why their fan support was different too.

Asim- He first seemed to be a flirt n overconfident guy in the premiere night, but also it was seen he is genuine and good hearted at start and he turned out to be a decent and innocent guy. He took time to make friends and he found a true friend or elder brother in Siddhart Shukla. He would do what Siddhart will do. He was by his side by hook and crook.

Then one fine day, he realises Siddhart is indeed wrong at times and he has a very dominating nature. He realised there has been many times he has misbehaved with ladies and he knew he was wrong still he stayed quiet as he was Sid's friend. And then seeing him insulting one of his fellow housemate with whom he never got along he realised he had enough of it and he decided to get out of Sid's shadow. He was already shining cause of his good hearted nature and also the fact he behaves better with women compared to the other guys. It was a huge risk for him to come out of Sid's shadow because in this game you need a friend/support, but thankfully he had Himanshi and Zariwala on his side that time. And that's when he faced all situations bravely, started taking stands and do what was right most of the time. His only weakness was his aggression which will led him to poke at times. The moment where he started gaining most fans was when he took a stand for all the middle class families against Paras without abusing and presenting his points more clearly. He knew with Sid having a huge support it may seem like a suicide step gamewise to be against him and fight with him but he did that because he knows his ex-friend was wrong! I feel he and Sid genuinely considered each other as friends but Sid's dominating nature and Asim's anger was the reason for their crack in friendship, but Asim had to do it. The risk did help him and he managed to create a seperate fan base for himself from almost no fanbase and now he is a strong candidate for Top 2.

Mahira- Mahira did seem like a dumb person but not a bad person. When Paras saved her from

nominations many times over Shehnaz with whom he was trying to create a so-called love angle, that's when Mahira-Paras friendship bloomed and till date it's still going strong. Her bonding with Paras helped her soooo much that she made it to Top 6 despite being out of Top 6 in voting. Mahira and Paras were like a partner, where Paras seemed to be the boss while Mahira seemed to be an assistant who will do everything her boss says. But many times she realised her friend Paras is wrong in cases like insulting any contestant or trying to play foul. She took him in a corner and tried to make him understand many times that he was wrong but Paras just doesn't care and won't take anyone's advice, not even Salman Khan's advice he would take seriously! Mahira as I said would do what Paras do will get into many unnecessary fights where she does seem wrong, and she also has anger issues and she will say things which she will regret later. Sometimes she does become selfish just for the sake of the game (which is one thing that differentiates between her and Asim) but she is selfess and sacrificing at times.

But due to not having any individuality in the game, she is lagging and she does have a vote bank issue compared to most contestants and still is a very unlikely contestant for Top 4. If she would have been out of Paras's shadow, she could have given Rashami or Shehnaz a strong competition for the 4th spot. At the same time her friendship with Paras saved her from nominations many times if not she would have been gone long back.

This is what I felt about Asim and Mahira's game and why public have different opinions about them despite having similar personalities. Both do have some differences too, but have more similarities. I tried my best to be neutral, I know maybe a lot of Asim fans, Mahira fans and other fans won't agree with me here. You can feel free to express what you feel but please dont scold me 😆
