Sorry to say.. I am from bunts community .. we don't treat others as lower or anything.. but yes in Mangalore I.e. our state we r at higher side . When we say caste.. .. hedges. Rai, shetty etc..but now we don't even think about who is higher caste.. that's was long long back. in India we bunts and few places from Kerala. Which is known as south kanara.. believe in girls legacy.. for us daughters I.e. Girl child is more important. As per ancestors the story the land is created by Parasuram.. Indian mythology story.. hence we r know as fearless people.. just some info of bunts.. 😊

Any empirical data to suggest that? Female foeticide and infanticide indicators suggest something else.

Only in South kanara I.e. Mangalore and few parts of Kerala.. we always say mother's legacy.. so for as we always want one girl child.. that's the truth.. still now there is no change.. if no girl child for that parents the legacy stops from our ancestors home
