Maybe Rudra fell in love with her and she just considered him a friend. But she fell for MJ. Rudra told MJ about his feelings and MJ decided to help Rudra by manipulating both MayRa and had an affair with Maya. Then wrecked her life once Rudra was broken. So indirectly Rudra was a reason for Maya to get hurt but didn't do anything deliberately. Could be a reason why she naturally softens to him coz she knows he loved her but she din reciprocate. Seeing how physically close he is to Ananya, the hug and cheek pulling, hand kiss and hand holding could be romantic for Rudra but perceived friendly by Maya.

how come he does not remember maya? it could be selective amnesia but I don't think CV's are that unimaginative.

Maybe Maya being young and naive- fell for MJ's charm and had an affair with him. The fact that she was aware of his marital status does not make her incapable of being immoral. people make mistakes. PERIOD

if that is the case then Maya's hate is not as justified as she makes it seem. While Roys are horrible and probably treated her worse than an animal, she was still in the wrong for having an affair with a married man. Roy's treatment is not justified but she was not doodh ki dhuli either and by knowingly sleeping with a married man, she must have expected some sort of disaster-- just not to this extent.
