Boney once spoke about how he proposed to Sridevi in an interview with Filmfaremagazine.

Of the interviews I watched with my parents, all yesteryear heroines say NTR doesn’t even talk to them unless they are in front of camera. If he was directing, he only talks work. He was known to be punctual and workaholic. He did have affair with a heroine (forgot name), but that’s consensual and they never worked together after that fell apart.

Sri Devi entered industry early and pushed to be heroine very young (just like Jaya Lalitha) by her mother.

Lot of mud slinging on him was brought on by the late India Gandhi’s minions as she saw it as failure on the minions’ part to allow NTR start a new party (which threatened her grip in the south) not recruit him into Congress Party. The mud slinging and manipulation gotten so bad, he ruined his life in later stages with superstitions, bad decisions and died unnaturally.
