Nobody should be discouraging anybody from having questions, this goes against the tradition of Islam.

But I'm sure a lot of people on this forum will refuse to accept this, and cling to tradition and culture over what is actually taught by religion.

We as humans can never have perfect knowledge and we only know Islam by what Allah has decided to reveal to us through his messenger SAW and the Quran. He has only revealed to us the things which we necessarily need to know. Some things and reasoning have been kept in Allahs knowledge only. Thats just the way it is

I’m sorry but you’re pulling at straws here. What things and what reasoning do you believe has been hidden from us?

Obviously no one will have perfect knowledge or the knowledge God has, that’s not what we’re talking about here at all. And when people resort to suggesting believing questions can be answered is akin to saying you’re at level with God it’s usually to silence the other person.

The fact is that the Quran tells us to learn and educateourselves. If you actually research into this you will see that Scholars encouragepeople who have questions to learn more about Islam as this will help them findthe answers, and strengthen their imaan.

If you have questions about why something is a specific way, you should read Islamic books, refer to Scholars and you will find the answer. It may take you time, but you will find the answers because God has given us theanswers.

You should not be discouraging people asking questions. In the Prophet (saw)’s time he (saw) never told people who came to him with questions that they shouldn’t be asking them and should just accept things because we can’t have the knowledge Allah has. He (saw) answered their questions.

You are conflating two separate issues. Obviously no one can have knowledge of every single thing in the universe, this is true from both a religious and scientific perspective. It’s just common sense. However as far as religion goes, if we have questions about the things revealed to us we can find the answers to them, because Allah (swt) has given us the answers.

For example somebody was asking about men being allowed four wives, there is an answer to this.

I’m not sure what it is you believe we cannot find answers for regarding religion…
