Because Mahira gave him the letter 5 minutes ago and he shredded hers.

Same question can be reverted why only Asim should get benefit of the doubt? Why only he is allowed to play the game? His game is a game and others are cruel heartless.

Rashmi should have been captain i think she performed the best followed by Asim. Sid choosing Gupta was more of a strategic move, he won't choose Asim he never chose him to be captain when they were on good terms and you expect him to choose Asim now? Just like Mahira shouldn't have had any expectations from Asim ripping her letter the same logic applies here

because him and sid have a history/bond which asim and mahira never did. They have been antagonists all season. Thats why.

and because of history asim gave letter to arti even though they have had fights.

Asim was the one who convinced everyone to boycott sidharth's Captaincy toh woh asim ko kyun captain banata?

Jab sid ne shefali and himanshi ka nam captain ke liye suggest kiya toh Asim agree kiya tha kyun ki Kagar voting hoga toh usse koi vote nehi dega..

Turnel wale task main usne khud bahar nehi aya toh isme sid ka kya fault..

Next captaincy task main usne khud hi apne jagah himancy ka nam suggest kiya isme sid ki kya galti..

Class room wale task mai jab uske apne best friend and girl friend ne hi use vote nehi tha toh sid ki kya galti..

Can you blame him? Shukla is many things but dumb isn't one of them. He knows Asim becoming Captain will prove how good Asim is at it, cause unlike Himanshi/Shukla Asim is cordial to most of the housemates. So boycott wouldn't work. Not when 2 people who want to boycott were in the SR at that time.

So he chose Vikas. (Which I do feel was Channel's instruction. They've got Gupta in to shake sense into the rest of the housemates. So being the Captain will make that a little easier)

Not dumb but fir use friend friend nahi bolna chahiye asim ko pehle se aur ehsaan nahi jatana chahiye. He says to asim i have done this and that for you when all he has done is let down asim time and time again.

When it came to voting for who is the most important for the show (The task where sana had voted for paras) asim had voted for shukla keeping aside their falling out and respecting their history. But shukla has time and again disappointed Asim and never really had his back. He hasn’t put money where his mouth is.
