So Asim Riaz who entered as a Zero on the show, and especially at the show premier he was a huge turn off for me as I felt he is too overconfident and might be the Akash Dadlani of this season....But thats why they say dont judge the book by its cover....A few incidents which made him turn to him
1. Now I will be bashed on this point but his friendship with Shukla. They were truly "Bros" for the initial few weeks and I loved that pure bond. Their funny talks, he generally never blamed Shukla for not doing duties which meant he had to do them coz others found him easy target, Roti fights with rashmi, Offering his Rotis to Shukla, explaining and calming Shukla when he went Rogue(fights in task), and so many for. Yes, Shukla did reciprocate to and he has to be given equal credit, but later Shukla did disrespect him and Sana was a reason too.
2. His fallout with Shukla. Friendship is fine, but if your self respect is compromised and still you be with that person its your fault rather than the person abusing. Thats the reason as much as I can sympathize with Aarti , she is responsible for how Shukla treats her. Here again Asim stood up to someone before whom no one could take a stand- Paras, Vishal, Mahira who I thought would do it. I agree one of the reason is WKW but same was for Asim, he knew he will be bashed and mocked and people might gang against him, but he stood their rock hard to let Sid know that he is not a Cheela and deserves to be treated equally and if not he can show u the same. I dont agree with extreme provocation that he did(though its allowed in the game and there is nothing wrong) and kind of used Shuklas weaknesses against him , but Shukla did come out as a hypocrite when he said Asim is coming close to face and doing wrong when he always did the same.
3.Loyality : he has been Loyal with the people he truly considered as friends- Shukla and Himanshi. He had a fallout with Shukla and things changed , but again initially he discussed things only with his team(Shifali, Himanshi and Bhau sometimes). It was Shukla who started washing dirty linen in public before Paras, is when he said against Sid in open before him, I have hardly seen him pin point anything wrong with his enemies, even after he left for SR.Him working during Himanshies captaincy was another proof.
4. Care : I am clearly blown away with this quality of him. Be it Himanshi when she was sick, Wishing Mahira on birthday, asking Sid about health when they were having a fight,standing for Rashmi, giving Aarti letter when she needed, Apologizing everytime when he does something wrong(Mahiras letter),and so many. Remember yesterdays episode even while stopping Rashmi he was very concerned that he does not hurt her hand. he picked her up and when Shifali took her down, he did not just grab her again but was very cautious to not hurt her. Even when Vikas locked her in room, he said uske hath pe chot lagi hai sambhalkar.The WKW where Himanshi was low, he was with her throughout even when Himanshi burnt her photo in a task "Protector he is truly"
5.With enemies. yes he has been mean and shammed and abused and said things left and right to people. And I dont support him anywhere in all the things. but its a game and sometimes you are charged on and do things. but he always reflects on what he does and comes and apologizes be it friends or enemies. few of them being When he tore Mahiras letter, he did laugh at bhaus joke in the moment and he said to Mahira ab mei ye bade hothwali use karunga-but he never did except that day when he was playing along with rashmi and Shefali. Infact in Swayavar task when shifali used it, he clarified with mahira and said he does not support it. Taking stand for rashmi when needed. Telling Himanshi ( her giving makeup dand to Mahira) and Shefali(lips comment) if they go wrong even if its against his enemies. Being there with Sana(when Paras left - and he did not make a joke out of her feelings when she said kisi ko batana mat) and Aarti (Anxiety attack) when they were low. He even tried to be cordial with Mahira and did not pick up unnecessary fights even when she has been mocking and bullying him from day one. He even supported Vishal when needed.
6. Forgiving: Both friends( when Shifali took his name after the WKW in Himanshis captaincy, even Himanshi burnt out his photo that day but he did not once question her or made a scene, infact was consoling her) or Enemies( He does not keep huge grudges, he even said to Mahira sab game ke lie hai and things like that)
7. taking stand- For himself or friends( Himanshi, Shukla, Bhau,etc)
8. Genuine- He is one of the most genuine person in the show. He does not say things to people when he does not mean them(Himanshi), tells things on their face(Shefali), no unnecessary drama(letter task, against all the pushes, playing victim card 24*7 even when he is being bullied), no overt happiness when he is not( Yesterday when Paras was back, he was happy but did not go and hug him like oh bro I was missing u and stuff), does not go around people asking them whom are they dating and laughing at them.
9. Smart: He is one of the main reasons who brought Paras down, I liked him fairly untill 2 weeks ago. thanks to Asim. yesterday his one liners stole the show. paras could not even give back. He understood Shifalis game. He is slowly realizing Rashmi is innocent.
