Each historical is different.

Kesari did quite good business . So the subject matters.. and how the subject is portrayed.. who's the main lead.. how good the script and direction is..

There MIGHT be some fatigue towards historicals but I think people would go see a SLB historical even now- because they like what they see.. so a SLB won't have same problems with getting people in theatres- he's got his own fanbase.

Tanhaji depends very much on performances and fanbases. If Ajai and cast is good- they could also make a lot of money.. If the movie is so- so..they will maybe make much less.

As for screens.. I thought it was already decided that there will be a general split.

* I still think they should have tried to get separate weekends to get more revenue.

Couldn't agree more with you on the above point. Tanhaji is capitalizing on Ajay's stardom to a great extent and that will lead to a good opening. But the rest depends on WOM and how good the film is.

If Chapaak is a great film, people will veer more towards it.

I really think the clash won't affect the fan base of either Ajay or Deepika.

I question the taste and sanity of folks who love SLB's periodicals or his movies in general. The most overrated director ever.

Panipat is a disaster not because of genre but Arjun Kapoor. So nope. It will be so interesting to see how Deepika and Ajay fight it out for screens.

Why I am a perfectly sane person doing very well in life, ABSOLUTELY love SLB’s period extravaganzas! I watched Panipat recently (because I love period drama) and I could see for myself how SLB’s touch would have elevated the movie to another level....He is a director of his own class and his kind of cinema is for the folks who love theater drama and operas!
