I have a question that I would like for this forum to answer without bashing anyone. So if you don't have anything nice to say and can't put across your point nicely, please stay out of this coz the only reason I post this here is to genuinely understand different perspectives.
So, yeah. We already know that Sana is absolutely adored outside of this forum. Normal TV viewing audience, the ones not on social media are rooting for her to be one of the top 3 contenders.
So the question arises, why does she get so much hate here and why exactly do people find her fake?
I have a theory. Please feel free to agree or disagree and tell me what you think. I'm genuinely looking for an answer here and I have read enough of the 'she's vile' comments so please, do better if you disagree.
I feel people here hate Sana simply because they don't understand her and that is because most of what she says and the way she behaves is lost in translation.
This is something that I have noticed with both SidNaaz supporters and SidNaaz/Sana haters. The only people who seem to get her completely are people who are genuine Sana supporters and I believe a lot of them are North Indians and yes, it does seem to have a bit to do with where and how you're raised.
From what I see, Sana is as real as real gets. She says it like it is. She means what she says and does at that point in time and if she 'flips' that's very real to me too because that is literally how she is. That to me, doesn't make her a bad person at all. Just someone who is hard to read and unpredictable.
She has her negatives of course but who doesn't?
She comes from a small village in Punjab. The family dynamics and family structure there is very different from how it is in urban setups. They believe in communities and because of the kind of upbringing kids there get, they learn to deal with all kinds of people and know exactly how to deal with certain situations and also how to get things done. They're a lot more street smart than any kid living in the city will be.
Almost everything she stands for, the way she is, is actually considered a huge plus in most Punjabi families, if not all families in general. You have a huge fight with someone, you call each other names and you forget it within the hour. I have seen that happen soo much lol. In fact, I was actually compared to my cousins who were like that and was told that I needed to inculcate that quality and how it was such a waste for me to have been raised in a joint family set up when I can't even let go of an argument/fight. ( This was only as a kid though, now I too know better lol)
Have you noticed how her humour is a lot like that of Kapil Sharma and a lot of punjabi comedians? Because that's how they joke around with each other, age no bar, sex no bar. Just because it isn't your brand of humour, doesn't make it bad or less funny.
I agree she goes over board some times but she's also quick to realise it. She may or may not apologise and that to me is fine too because that's how normal people are.
Also, if you go to any 'pind' in Punjab, this is legit how they are, underneath all their 'duniya daari' and 'log kya kahenge' and other society-friendly layers that some people would wear to please you.
Honestly, to me, calling her fake is like calling an entire region of India fake who relate to her and who she represents.
I feel the people who love her, either love her because they see a part of them in her, or they wish they had the guts to be as real as her and love her courage. And the people who hate her, hate her from pretty much the same reasons.
