Also, you can tell that Mini doesn’t think very highly of Babita, meaning she doesn’t think Babita is smart, and thinks Babita cannot handle outside world. Though she loves her Babes a lot, but she doesn’t think Babita can do things on her own, she thinks Babita needs guidance. It’s kinda sad actually. Babita also let Mini sort of control her life, probably trying to compensate for her father being absent in her life. Idk.

She really doesn't and it's a bit upsetting tbh. Like, my mom isn't that highly educated either but whenever she refers to herself as being an illiterate, it pisses me off like there's no tomorrow. It's like, no, don't say that. It may be true, but that's not a reason to bring yourself down. You may not have excelled in your education, but there are so many other aspects in your life where you have done well.

It's the same with Babita. She has done her B.A., can speak and understand English very well, is a master in cooking, knows how to sew, is great at arts and crafts etc. There are so many areas in her life where she has done fantastic and should be proud of.

The areas where Babita lacks a lot of experience in is dealing with the outside world. But as we saw with the job track, we know that she's more than capable of handling herself and coming up with solutions. She simply needs the opportunity to get out of her comfort zone and test herself. No one is born with social skills. It's something that we all learn. Minnie too, had to learn how to deal with two-faced people. It's not a skill that she inherited while she was in Babita's womb.

Idk, if it was controlling, but Babita came to rely on Minnie for a lot of things. Transportation is the most obvious since Minnie had her scooter. But since Minnie was the only whom Babita could call her own, she openly shared her problems with her regardless of how big or small it was. And Minnie just did what she always does, she helped her Mom out. Just like Babita filled in for Ashok's absence, Minnie did the same. She defended Babita whenever she didn't do it herself, helped her out in going places and finishing menial tasks, admired and complimented her beauty etc.

I don't fault her for having dreams and ambitions. The fact that she even recognizes Babes' flaws is great because then nothing will come as a shock for her. She knows Babes needs her, but Minnie also needs her mother. If it weren't for Babita reigning in her brash talks, the girl would have no filter. She'll just go on badmouthing people like there's no tomorrow and not really care about the consequences for it.

Yes, Lovely is a horrible woman and she needs to be dealt with the same venom that she spews, but constantly fighting and arguing isn't going to solve anything. As we saw later on, the reason why Lovely is quick to taunt and lash onto others is because she's barren. Of course, that's not an excuse for her horrible behavior, but it does give a reasoning as to why she's so bitter and mean to others. She herself doesn't want her feelings to be hurt and hence, hurts others first.

My point is that violence, whether it's verbal or physical, isn't the solution to anything. A good solution crops up when people have a civil discussion and address the issues at hand. Or at least, put in the attempt to solve the problems together.

As for your point about Babita being a burden, I'm not sure now if I actually wrote that in the post. I did think of it but came to the conclusion that that's not how Minnie saw her initially. (At least in the context of this episode alone.) I don't know if it changed later on, but for now, no. She just wants her father back so that her Babes has someone with whom she can talk to, share her worries with etc. while Minnie herself can just be a child again.

the thing is babita mini never had a balance. Babita never spoke up and Mini over spoke up in a way of compensation because babita never did. So if mini was fighting with lovely for babita instead of taking out a solution with her it was because babita never stood up for herself. She had to do all the standing up for her. The civil discussion which happens between people were both pov s are put across should have been done by babita. For mini being still young at that time it was just about lovely taunting babita and she taunting her back. Also in later episodes we saw babita telling HS that she actually seceretly liked mini giving it back to lovely. So babita stopping mini was maybe basically just to show how good a bahu and mother she was. But Babita liked it secretly that mini fought her battles with lovely. Because she as a good bahu couldn't do it to keep up with the tag so mini giving it back was a way out for her. There was a lot of resentment built under her which we saw later on when she lashed out at everyone and she quietly let it build because of her idealistic views of a good wife and good bahu. Also her need for people to validate that she was good. This made her show that side of hers which was not actually she in actual. The thing that what people will say about her if she spoke up, if she fought back with lovely, if she asked for her rights. Babita had built an image of a good bahu and a kind person for everyone around her even and she dint really want that image to take a beating by standing up for herself. Remember how she lashed out at daadu for giving her a mahaan image and expecting her to stand up to that image. But the point there also was that she herself wanted to maintain that image.
