^^ Wokeness has nothing to do with it. This is an extremely inappropriate thing to say about one’s colleague, and Kriti is a colleague. If he or his fans want to invoke his seniority card then this could fall under sexual harassment. We can’t have it both ways. We cannot complain about the Sajid Khans or Alok Naths of the industry and lament that MeToo died down, yet at the same time make excuses for our favorites.
His wife was brought up because a married man talking about having his colleague as another notch on his bedpost also demeans his wife and his own marriage. She may be OK with it for whatever reason but doesn’t mean it’s OK for any husband to be this cavalier about colleagues and women as sex partners. Kriti’s young age adds to the creepy factor. Millind Suman and Kabir Bedi were equally mocked and trolled for robbing the cradle. Using Suman and Bedi as excuses to defend Dutt’s statement is grasping at straws and doesn’t change the facts. Facts are that at a public platform Sanjay Dutt, with all his seniority and position within the industry, said that his very young and fairly new female colleague can become his next sexual partner, number 309 to be precise. It objectifies her, it reduces her to nothing more than a sexual conquest, it strips of her self worth and dignity, not to mention all the ways he might have exposed her to potential harassment by other creeps. And the sad part is, because he’s Sanjay Dutt no one will or can say anything including Kriti herself.
