On indian society - I'm reminded of lamhe.... A movie all of us love now but in its time it was a big flop... People could just not accept anil Kapoor falling in love with the child of his crush...

Such an ageist, it gets harder and harder to root for ppl like Parineeti and Sonakshi. Ranbir worked with Aish and danced with madhuri and they looked hella amazing together, so she can suck it

We have been conditioned to believe that men must be older in relationships, that men can romance people decades younger than them but women cannot. When I was a teen, I bought into these notions as well.

But we have to start critically examining the double standards and pushback against them. If privileged women in positions of influence are unwilling to ask the questions - what will ordinary or underprivileged women do?

But here the 50 year old men romance 20 year old girls and nowhere does the story allude to the age gap.... Age is not the plot.. So a nishabd pairing makes sense but not a dabang 3.

the main issue, is that those 50 years old actors, are not acting their age..... at the most their on-screen age has advanced from 24 to 34 years old....

unfortunately Indian audience accepts a 54 years old looking guy as 34 years old, but not the same with women.......... Aish looked so beautiful in ADHM, more pretty then even Anushka, yet she wasn't the lead and didnt get her happy ending.......... Madhuri, Juhi ka toh pucho matt.......... yaha Deepika dancing with Karthik is trolled so much, with few calling her aunty, so dont even imagine what Madhuri or Juhi will have to face if they even try to act in character younger then their real age.....

Exactly. They all looked awesome together and the chemistry was fab. Someone on Twitter made a comparison of Madhuri's dance routines in Devdas and in a 2019 performance - there was no difference. At 52 she still looks fantastic and dances like a dream - precisely the two things that can't be said about salmonella or SRK, so yeah, I find Sonakshi's moronic words particularly offensive. LMAO

People (mostly dumb male Indians, I imagine, and BW starlets who depend on males for careers) seem to be forgetting that being a 40+ or 50+ or even older doesn't mean women are all wrinkly, ugly or senile.
