Anyways.. You have a great day ahead!! 😃😃😃

I am originally from Delhi and was in first year of college when the Nirbhaya incident happened. I can totally understand what you are going through. That incident, the media coverage and the whole situation at that time was such that I used to feel scared even when stepping out of home in broad daylight.

I used to work in Hyderabad and lived there for about three years after college. And you know what, I felt that people in Hyd were much better than what I’d experienced all my life in Delhi. I can think of only 1 incidence in those 3 years where I felt uncomfortable when a disgusting man was looking at me, that too in broad daylight when I was in and driving my own car. I just overtook that creep and eventually forgot about it.

Now I work in the US and things for women are bad here too. I watched Unbelievable on netflix, and the place the first incidence takes place acc to that series is just a few miles from where I live. It’s like being a girl you just can’t feel safe anywhere.

Sorry for jumping in on this thread. I know I don’t come here anymore but ever since i got to know about the hyd incident, all that disgust and helplessness i lived through during Nirbhaya case is surfacing back. I can totally relate to what you must be going through.

the same happened with my lil sis when the Farkhunda incident happened in Kabul. the girl was beaten by mob and then burned alive. my sister cancelled her registration process in University because she was afraid to study in Afghanistan, and then she moved back to Istanbul. i can feel the trauma we go through when such incidents happen in our own cities.

I am also from delhi..and i know what u must have gone through!

Women are not safe anywhere and all cities are kinda same but delhi is something else! Thouugh i love this place but have tonadmit this place makes u feel unsafe and insecure upto another level! Delhi has the worst record when it comes to women safety!

If not assaulted every woman over here is made to feel unsafe in one way or other! People staring at you in a creepy way is not something new! Everyday i catch someone or the other staring at me in a way they should not and its not only me but all the girls living in delhi!😵 Today my friend was upset because a guy tried to touch her in a public transport amd people around reacted as if nothing happened!😡
