@bold: they must be cousins..mahadev's father Appa's bro's son I guess. Have to watch the episode soon.. hope I get to see it. The girl is Rashmi Anpat.. I had seen her in Kulaswamini..cute girl, but acting so so.

Hi Vidya, see you plan to watch Agnihotra 😃

Agnihotra 2 has started well. They have straight away started with suspense cum bit thriller. Agnihotra 1 had started differently in very light way.

I read a post bit confused about link of Agnihotra 1 and 2.

Agnihotra 2 looks like is story of Chulat bhau/bhavanda of Mahadev.

Sharad Ponkshe as Mahadev had rocked Agnihotra 1 and he is same fantastic Mahadev, little frail and tired lonely Mahadev.

Started with Akshara Agnihotri, Mahadev’s cousin’s daughter (I forgot the first name of her father’s character Rajan Bhise) .

Her father is suffering from some kind of Amnesia where he sometimes remembers things of years past but doesn’t remember things happened 10 mins before.

He receives letter from Mahadev which his wife has hidden from him. Akshara reads the letter and decides to go to Nashik. She works as a professional blogger and translator.

Akshara keeps dreaming of cartoon demons! Sees the Agnihotri Wada in dream even though she and her father have never been there. Her father had suffered some shock in a traumatic event which left him fragile. Today was just Mahadev and Akshara getting to know one another.

I guess it is probably requirement of the story but I am bit disappointed. After all the Agnihotri family getting happily together at end of Agnihotra 1, how come Mahadev is so alone, lonely and bitter?

What happened to Neel, Abhi, Vaidehi, Manjula etc.?!!
I hope they can get all the important characters of Agnihotra to make guest appearances here. How can Neel just forget about Mahadev Kaka?! Hope they have dialogues something like Neel is abroad.

Akshara’s mother did mention about Mahadev, Rohini, Chintamani and Moreshwar mention by her father. Are we going to get them back for important episodes?

Anyways I am sure those who have watched Agnihotra 1 are hoping to catch up with all Agnihotris again.

There was no mention of this branch of Agnihotri family in Agnihotra 1.

It was assumed Appa Agnihotri didn’t have any siblings but now they have started story of Agnihotri chulat family branch.

Akshara Agnihotri is the daughter of Mahadev’s chulat bhau. So she is Appa Agnihotri’s grand niece.

So Mahadev kaka mentioned to the girl that he is fed up of being alone. In past he tried convincing his siblings to come to wada and stay,but they all came on some occasion and never stayed back.

So he is trying to connect with cousins now, hence he sent the letter to cousin Satej Tryanbak Agnihotri. Character played by Rajan Bhise. He is archeologist by profession, but was framed by peers in some case. So he is in some kind of depression and has frequent memory issues.

Sometimes he remembers everything as old as 40-45 years old. Sometimes he doesn't remember anything happened 10 mins back too.

He has a son too Anvay if m not wrong, but he left the home on some differences between him and dad on the topic of Nashik Cha wada.

Well if anyone remembers that in last episode they spoke abt finding anvay n his family so we now know anvay is aksharas bro n son of rajan bhise who is nephew of mohan agashe.

I was so happy to see mahadeo kaka back in his element his facial expressions changing from angry to loving so typical of him. Felt so nostalgic. Sharad ponkshe is awesome.

Yes i do miss neel n sai . Wish they would make some appearances.
