If it was anyone I truly cared for, it's been Babita. Perhaps more than HS. Throughout, I have looked up to her. To her struggles and her journey.

And now THIS, looks like such a big failure.

Disaster.

CVs, you suck. You really do.

But nothing takes away the fact that she has always been a fighter. A mother. A wife. A daughter in law. People didn't let her be the woman she wanted to be. But koi nahi.

Kisiko pata ho na ho, mujhe pata hai Babita kaun hai. Woh ek misaaal hai.

Exactly. Everything put together, it's just so unfair!

It's so ironical that, S1, in spite of it having Hanita, the entire focus was on Mini. And now, it being S2, (focus being on Mini), they are just dragging Hanita into every episode. And literally make us regret, the fact that we ever loved them...

Gur 🤗

Seedhe dil pe lagi hai yo baat, chhori. The offense I took as a woman that made me turn away has resurfaced after reading this very well-written post.

I am still dumbfounded that RS could have done this to a female protagonist, that indeed a woman can be another woman's worst enemy. There are loads of women in Babita's situation or worse and the treatment of this character was just full of injustice in the last stretch.

Did she really have to make the ultimate sacrifice in order for her efforts to be appreciated and recognized? That's the ugly face of society (and KK I guess - sorry for saying this).

This is such a beautiful write-up.. I was imagining all while reading this and was having such a warm feeling for Babita.. how she was coming into herself with those baby steps.. one of the most memorable character for me in recent times.. till makers just nullify her.. thank you for writing this :)

I dont know whether its the mistake of rs completely or itv has become such that they do not give the writers enough freedom because of trp race. This is 2019 and as an audience we are still watching shows were women are degraded in many ways.

This is so sad that itv is still not ready to come out of their regressive shell. Matured audience have already started shifting to web series. While people like me just switch off the tv or watch english shows rather than watching all the s**t going on in itv in the name of entertainment.

Gur, this is what i have been saying from day one kk started ruining babitas character and people started talking negative about her. Being a woman rs has done immense injustice to women like babita. This lady finally proved that no matter what women will always be blamed for all the mistakes done by others. As a women i am immensly offended by the makers. It was easy for mini to blame babita as she herself has not lived the life of her mother. I hated mini character the day she called her mother selfish.

This is the problem. Everyone just got so invested with their own matters that they didn't pause to see the real tragedy. More so than anyone, it's Babita who suffered at the hands of the writers. She's the one whom they chose to target and release all their anger and hatred upon.

Yes, Babita has done wrong but did it warrant her death? Did she deserve to be punished by not speaking with her child or not seeing her face? Did she deserve to have the most loved person in her life to live far away from her forever?

Babita didn't deserve an iota of all the hate that she got. She was a carefully targeted victim and the writers succeeded in making her the most hated character in the show for a time being. But I can't stand it anymore. I will not let her character suffer in post death just so that she can be used to glorify Minnie.

Minnie didn't deserve to lose her parents or lose out on bonding with her sister. Babita didn't deserve such a miserable start to her marriage, or all the heartache she had to suffer. They both deserved a hell of a lot more than they actually got. If there's a culprit here then it's KK for not knowing how to write a fcking balanced, well thought out story.

I don't bother they gave happy ending to her or not 😒as I expected nothing from them from the time they start butchering her 😡

But her point her pov could be shown the way you penned down why no one get to see this the way you penned down 😭 worse how we blamed her 🤢

I feel ashamed today😭 that even watching it for Pari I didn't get to connect with B after marriage scenes 😭

This is the greatest tragedy of all. Circa Imarti's track, we never got her POV. We got everyone's at various times, but never Babita's. Again, it's the writer's fault for doing this since we know they're more than capable of writing decent scenes for her. We got glimpses into her head before whether it was through flashbacks or conversations with other characters. But they deliberately chose to alienate her from everyone else and make her inaccessible to the audience. It was just another tactic employed by them to make sure that we don't sympathize or connect with her.
