Anyone following this serial? Probably the only serial currently where I am actually watching most of it (I just fast forward through most scenes for the rest of the few serials I follow).

I find the male lead, female lead and grandmother roles very entertaining with the respective actors excellent in their roles. Very amusing dialogues as well, full of humour and sass.

Is this a remake of any serial?

I'm following it paa.. me thought of opening thread for the same.. Thanks you did it 👍🏼

I do like the hero played by Vinoth Babu.. been fan of him from Aditya days and few epis of KPY.. Heroine is new to me.. Paatti character played by Latha is apt for her 👍🏼.. I don't like her in general in old movies and other serials she did.. But here, I like their combo Velu-Paatti-Thamizh .. all 3 have strong characterisations.. looking forward to how they take the storyline , especially the split up siblings (hero's grandma and heroine's grandpa)

Don't know if it's a remake or not . .

Looks like the romance thing is in full steam. I did not actually expect it to move this fast. I thought that they will probably show Velu falling in love with Tamil first and then, later on, show her falling in love. Looks like this is happening simultaneously.

The romance part is nice and all (though a little too long) but I hope that the banter between Velu and Tamil remains humorous like it is now and not become all lovey dovey.

At this point though, this show holds my interest because I cannot see where this show is headed. The show certainly has a lot of potential plot threads to follow.

The male lead is new to me. Initially when I saw the promos for this show, he did not actually stand out. Later on, he grew on me. He does act well and does comedy very well. I understand that he dubs for himself. I particularly like his dialogue delivery; his intonations and phrasing are very entertaining. The female lead is also new. I like her; I find her very expressive. I had watched Siva Manasula Sakthi for a while when that show started (but stopped watching when Sakthi ran away) and did not really like Latha's role in that. Her role here, I really find enjoyable. I guess it helps that her role here has lots of humour.

I think that this may currently be my favourite serial or least the only one I'm watching regularly. I like that there are no forced marriages in this. I like that the female lead has a lot of spunk and is not a doormat or being tortured by own family/in-law/etc. Most of all, I like the humour and I hope that this show maintains the light-heartedness even when things get more serious as the show progresses.

Liking this serial so far. The hero-heroine dialogues are so funny (especially the insults). The romance is picking up steam now, but having less of the step-mom scenes would really make the show better.

Sundari Neeyum Sundaran Naanum....... despite Serial content is old, the way screen play moved by director is excellent and entertaining.

To be honest i started watching the serial half way which forced me to to see old episode too.

Velu and Tamil pair one the best pair i have seen in recent times. Whether their romance, eye contacts, expressions, fight and etc all are so good. feel like they are true lovers.

wish this serial should run minimum 1000 episode and romance seen should continue till the end.

Just saw the new promo. Looks like Velu has found out that Thamizh's thatha is his paatti's brother. He is super pissed (justifiably so) and now apparently believes that Thamizh does not care genuinely for him and his paatti. He has vowed to make his paatti hate Thamizh and to make life living hell for her until she leaves them. I do not think that this is a dream. I don't see how else they can bring on the drama and the story can move forward.

I was actually hoping that that the wedding did not take place. I don't like all these storylines where someone hides such a big thing from their partner before marriage. Such an action just erodes the trust in the relationship and if I were lied to like that. I don't see how I will be able to trust that person completely again. I was hoping that Thamizh told Velu the truth, the wedding is stopped and Thamizh convinces both Velu and his paatti before they got married. Anyway, Thamizh just brought this onto herself.

I wonder now how the tone of the show is going to be now. I was watching this show because it was fun and it was funny. Now the show has taken a darker turn and I don't see how the show creators are going to bring humour into the show now.

I hope that we do not see Thamizh being tortured daily and her tolerating all that torture for the sake of joining their families together. I don't want to see tears and more tears. Even the other storylines don't seem to have any lightness in them. If this turns out like most other serials where the female lead is tortured by other people, grins and bears it and does nothing constructive about it, then I will be out.

On another note, of course, this has to happen before the first night...
