Anyone who is married can vouch that navigating family life especially in the early years of marriage is not an easy task.. While none of us has a mohini or niveditha basu in our lives, we all have different versions of in laws, some very loving and supportive and some not so much.. But we all put up with them, because the anurag Basus we get in return are worth it. And also, it's a fact that things get better with time. It's never an easy mingling when two different families and ideologies come together. All of us navigate it and nobody can do it without once in a while suppressing what can be falsely perceived as "self respect".
