So this film is the result of Badla’s success: Actor is Mr Bachchan and director/producer is Sujoy Ghosh and SRK.

I understand Saswata Chatterjee (who played Bob Biswas in Kahaani and recently Ranbir’s father in Jagga Jasoos) is an excellent actor but for Hindi audiences idk how far he would’ve gotten. Plus Badla’s best parts were with Amrita Singh and Mr Bachchan more than Taapsee so let’s see. Hope Sujoy does a decent job.

So SRK doesn't look for ROI.. Just cast based on personal liking. Sun ke achha laga

If original actor is not considered coz of age shouldn't they go for young Bengali actor for the spin off role

I don't say that.. I said, casting would be Sujoy's choice and if Sujoy wanted Abhi, Shah wouldn't have a problem with that since he likes Abhi..

or it could also be that Shah intervened and asked Sujoy to cast Abhi.. it's his money after all.. if he wants it to be wasted on someone he likes, kia keh sakte hain

But how old is Sujoy's daughter? I thought she is still a kid. Is this a kid's film or something? 🤔

He did cast outsider Tapsee in one movie and adha outsider adha insider Emran in another.. ek pura insider ko Lena tou banta hai😆
