Has happened to me. One of my classmates had played a prank on me. Told me that he was hospitalized, and had last stage brain tumor. I knew it could be a prank but I went ahead reacting on that 0.1% chance of what if he is being serious. That's how I am, Mahi. I don't mind if people think that I am being foolish. I will always react consider the 1% chance of what if he/she is being serious!

See the problem is not that you shouldn't try to help. It's like there are people who fake problems on such sites, get your sympathy and in a bid to help people start sharing information about themselves.

My first reaction was this cause

1. You shouldn't get into trouble

2. I might come across as rude and insensitive but the point is if someone is getting affected like this then probably he needs real life help, rather than us blaming people who posted the comment. If not this then koi aur bahaana mil jaayega. Normal people don't get affected so negatively.

When things pile up - people do. I know. Digesting a criticism is hard so taking words like kill yourself and all is bad.

Besides, I have been through suicidal phase so I understand how it works. You aren't wrong at your place. What you are saying is pretty much right but in this particular situation, I have seen stuff and that's why I think this is not a trap.
