The contestants this year, to me, are generally terrible but because I have an abundance of time, let me go through all of them although I just said I don't like them but I like talking about my opinions.
Shehnaaz: I can't stand her. She tries to put on this oh-so cute and bubbly innocence and I know the audience likes it, but it comes off so fake to me. She's flipping constantly and then plays victim. Let's not even mention how she's physically abusive too. Because Salman will always, always support her. Punjab ki Katrina my foot. (my neutral take does not extend to Sana I'm sorry)
Sidharth: His violence and aggression is actually scary to me. The man has real anger issues. But inspite all of that, I'll give him one thing: he's been exactly who he was from the beginning of this process. He's not some polite dudh ka dhula insaan and he never pretends to be. People change to his side but he doesn't change to theirs. He was loyal to Sana, he's still loyal to her. He treated Aarti like a doormat, he still does. He hated Rashmi, he still does. Doesn't excuse his violence though. And for the love of god does Salman (or is it colors' script) really always need to be his advocate?
Asim: A guy with guts but lacks impulse control like Sid and honestly isn't really using his brain much. I give him points for going against Shukla despite probably knowing that WKW would be brutal for him but like, I'm still not sure why he changed sides. He was feeling a little in the shadows maybe?
Aarti: Who? Just kidding. Here's the thing about Aarti, she truly lives in a Sid bubble. Friendship is one thing but she worships Sidharth. It's always Sid could never do this with her. And I feel bad for her. Sid is brutal to her and she laps it up. It's borderline Stockholm syndrome to me.
Vishal: Less said the better. Phuski bomb. (I realize this is also not very neutral)
Shefali: To be very honest, I'm not sure how I feel about her. The girl has spunk but also a very condescending attitude that irritates me. She began her journey adamant to support Shukla but no longer does, which I mean I guess is sort of her coming on to her own but not sure.
Himanshi: Pretty much unseen unheard until yesterday and then she pushes Sana. Why? Provocation, anger but nothing that makes it okay. She deserved to be bashed today but not to the extent she was and definitely not while Sana a got nothing.
Bhau: Entertaining and I feel like he speaks at the right time. Something about him gives me mature banda type of vibes but we'll see.
Mahira: If Sana thinks she's innocent, Mahira thinks she's oh so clever. Initially, I liked that she stayed true to herself, but no, now she's full Shukla. A literal second ago he was the worst and I mean nobody, not even Rashmi, seemed to dislike Shukla as much as she did, but now suddenly he can hug her from behind. Umm what?
Paras: I feel like he's the only one trying to play the game. His every move comes off calculate and sometimes it works, sometimes it fails. But him and Mahira have lost a lot of respect this week because how does one go from constant dislike to oh he's so right. But while I believe Mahira's blindly following, Paras has some strategy. But props to both Mahira and Paras for being each other's number one supporters from the beginning.
Devoleena: Gopi bani Kokila. Jokes apart, Devoleena is growing on me, but the "flirting" with Sid stuff was so weird, entertaining, but weird. My favorite thing about Devo is how she both stands for Rashmi and pushes her to stand for herself. She needed to be kicked out and I feel like it's made her better.
Rashmi: She too has remained consistent throughout the show. She was never team Shukla, she will never be team Shukla and she's clear about it. She's the target and she gets dragged into everything yet still everyone seems to think she has no contribution. But here's the thing: Rashmi and Sidharth are the heart of this show. The initial two groups formed because of them. Even now grouping centers around them. Oh there are other fights yes, and both of them have conflicts with other people and they have different people in their groups now than before. And these groups will keep on changing, but Rashmi and Sidharth seem to and I believe will always be on opposite teams.
So who's gonna win? Ormax is usually right so Sidharth probably. And honestly Colors seems to want that too so, yeah probably. But Asim has a huge fanbase, so I do think he'll make it finale week. And with them probably Rashmi and as much as I really hate to say it, Sana. Who won't make it? Aarti, Himanshi and Mahira seem unlikely to me.
