I do think that when she left home, she had already accepted HS as her family and she saw it as her leaving her parents. Of course, Babes had been her parent all her life while she had only just accepted HS in that role. Really the timing of her departure was terrible. If only they had had more time I am quite sure the gaps would be bridged over time. HS and Minnie could not remain with these gaps forever, but it wasn't what the writers wanted to here we are now. Minnie is forever going to regret not getting a chance to have her father's love.

Also, lets not forget that while Babes did love her, she was always more of the mother in their relationship, but with HS it was different because she was always the child and he the parent/father figure. At difficult times in her life like this, if she were to seek comfort, HS is the person she'd go to rather than Babita, because she doesn't need to be brave around him. She can be herself, like an open book, and be vulnerable without fear, show him her weaknesses. It's such a HUGE loss for her not to have him around. I am not sure NB can do what HS would have been able to.

Yeah. She did accept HS as part of her family when she left. She saw HS and Babita collectively as one unit, as her parents and her family. While Babita is her mother, even if HS is not in the picture, I am not sure if she accepted HS as her father, if Babita were to not be in the picture. Maybe we will find out our later but I can’t keep watching the show in the hopes these things will be addressed.

Not just HS, not having Babita around is a huge loss for Mini as well. Doesn’t matter if at times, Mini had to mother Babita, Babita is her mother at the end of the day and that’s what she said to her friend and in the letter to Babita too. Loosing both HS and Babita has and will impact the large part of her life now. Like she said she lost her family. Well, now Arya is her family and they will have to bridge the gap between them to truly become one.

I agree with everything you said but regarding finding happiness in some form, wasn't Mini happy for one second in all five years pursuing her passion? Being a travel photographer was her dream. Fulfilling it must have given her say atleast 1% happiness. That's how everyone finds happiness in worst of conditions. It's not like HS and Babitha were the only one to find happiness and she always had HS on her side and it's shown that he had tried to bridge the gap. Please don't mistake me, I am not trying to justify what HS and Babitha did .

And most importantly no matter what CVs tried to show about Babitha I wouldn't believe for a second a mother's heart doesn't ache for estranged child. It's impossible for even for worst of mothers. ( I am a mother myself and at times selfish and ignorant towards my child. So I guess I have some authority to say this.)

finding happiness work wise in your career and finding happiness with your loved one is different. That way even HS had his career to find happiness, but we dont mention that.

I think Arya is going to help her re-live her childhood and also learn to understand Babita's point of view as well as HS'. KK had asked in one of the tweets if Minnie would learn to accept her parents with their flaws. In many ways, she couldn't do this in season one, which is why it ended that way and I suspect season two is about her reconciling all these things. I don't want to watch the show in hopes of these being addressed.

To me the void left behind by HS is too big to be filled by anyone. I don't think I can endure in this season what they put us through in season two. Don't want to get attached to any characters or story arcs. There's no point.

We knew he didn't particularly like the Khuranas after he found out what they did to Babita so he may not have wanted to keep any reminders of them. Moreover, Minnie wasn't there to wind it for him every morning, so woh kyun pehan tha? 🤔

It’s easy to analyze Mini’s situation because we are shown what’s went down with her in the past 5 years or what’s she’s feeling right now. We don’t know what went down with Hanita after Mini left.

well knowing mini she would have melted with any good attempt from babita's side. It shows in the letter she wrote for babita that though hurt by her she was still not angry with her that she would not get back to her if babita tried and spoke to her.

well they have not shown it. and from whatever they have shown its about missing mini, they family breaking because of mini going away, their relationship between two suffering because of mini going away. Have they been shown thinking about how mini must be feeling all alone. her mother literally dint look at her, she went away thinking she was a bad reminder of ashok to babita. She left even before the actual date living in some hostel in delhi. Did they try to make her feel better about it. make her feel wanted. If you dont understand your childs pain and empathise with the situation she is going through but see only your pain what is the use of it.

I'm not blaming HS or her, just saying that it put in a wedge that just couldn't be removed. She forever pushed him away and he never recovered from his sense of being a failure.

Sure, she left in anger and might have had issues with Babita but she had her mother for almost her entire 18 years. She had no such thing with Ashok or a father figure. I don't even know if they'll ever explain it, and I don't want to try to watch season 2 just to get those answers, but maybe they will at some point. Minnie will never get closure otherwise.

I agree. What they needed was time. They had too many fall outs and emotional dramas over a small period of time. They needed to address everything once things cooled down but Minnie's departure threw all of that away. They both knew ki their relationship needed to grow organically but it's difficult to do that when you're seas apart. If anyone's at fault here, then it's time. Waqt ne hi saath ni diya.

HS did find happiness in his job and even Babitha did when they had nothing or no one else.. But it was never complete. Same thing goes for Mini. It's not that she was sad for every second of last five years and surely HS and Babitha weren't happy for every second of five years. All of them were equally affected by what happened. In real life parents do get hurt by absence of their children unlike iin PB world. I am sure HS and Babitha weren't among those parents who would kill their children or throw them out of house for some reason.

Well regarding Babitha not reaching out to Mini, I can only blame writers for showing mothers in such bad light. I do believe it was done to victimize Mini else I haven't any mother who won't talk to her daughter for five years. I am not denying the possibility but there was no need to show such a mother on TV.

So Babes stayed angry with her all those years and she doesn't consider NB, Dadu Beeji as her family. HS was her only active connection to the family she so badly wanted but now that's gone too.
