Btw thank you uma..its my privilege to get my name associated with qu.phy..i love ths particular branch where reaching down to subatomic scales can explain complex macroscopic phenomena. Bottom up approach...Apart from the subject as such one can draw too many analogies of human psychology from qu.phy. A simple wave particle duality could be thought as co existence of ambiguity and certainty in decision making. Quantum cognition..

Ankit drawing

Very nice thought by Ankit. But I believe the stressing on marks is more in India than UK and Ireland. I saw some schools in Chennai where there is no playground . When enquired they say that more importance in given to studying and not sports 😔 ..

But how many bother to believe it ? Current generation dismiss most of the things without bothering to question about it .

So true .. when I read some of the stuffs I am truly amazed how knowledgeable our ancestors were .. but sad that it got immersed in religion

In Canada also the system is good overall, but still marks plays a role... Yes, some countries need to come out of focusing on studying only but to also encourage other activities... Nowadays I'm not liking how everything is becoming technology... Like my cousin was telling me how in her daughter class they all have a laptop and she is only 8 years old...and they have school apps for learning activities to practice... Even the parents have an app to communicate with school and teachers even if they have parents meeting...when I drive I see kids going to school.. The kids would be small but will have a bigger backpack... Some have those wheels bag so that they could roll it like a suitcase.

Next time I drop by a bookstore I'll look for the book and flip through the pages and read some pages....once in a while I go to bookstore and just walk through the books and take one and just read some pages randomly... It's fun

After graduation I never renewed any library cards and also haven't stepped in one.
