He was a abusive boyfriend, he broke law & doesn't get along with many people in industry.

But I feel he will be good and protective father. He really loves his parents & his siblings. Plus he goes out of way to help his friends. He is very protective towards Arpita and her son.

No. No child deserves a man like Salman as a dad. Rape jokes, murderer,endangered animal killer,and physically beating up and being violent to women- who wants a dad like this? But if he sponsors a Kid's education and well being,i don't mind. Uske money laundering Being Human ke money ka achaa use to hoga lol. Lekin dad ban gaya toh God knows kya gyaan dega to spoil his kids and make them like him. Literal nightmare.

There is no reason for anyone to have kids so he is good on that front.

My own view is that whatever we see of salman...that he is totally a family man...the way he treats his parents, his step Mom, his siblings, nephew and nieces and even his adopted sister is amazing.....whatever he has done in his life has nothing to do with how he is with family...whether he adopts or opts for surrogacy..is totally his choice and he is going to be a great father......everyone deserves a kid if they want one and are ready for the huge responsibility that comes with being a parent.
