I didn't find veena selfish today. She was all teary eyed when Sona was telling her story. Though stupid, she didn't even mind Sona's move of going for shooting. She lost it only when her son got shot. Had that not happened, she must have sympathised with Sona too. But when both of them are wounded, mom will have more worry for her son obviously and since that happened due to Sona's move, her frustration with her overshadowed her concern for her

Anyways he would have tried to go any length in fact he tried to harass her in sippy mansion. suman didn't utter a word against their security. Mahesh was their driver. I agree mahesh is behind Sona whc in turn caused damage to sippys. But her mera kohinoor ki shaadi ke saare arman irked me . I can't warm upto her like I do with suman (even though she is behind Sona n verbal diarrhea). Somehow I feel veena is very shallow. Not for today . Generally. I hated her ilu aft prenup too. But ya I'm disappointed she didn't mention about sonas injury. But a Mil ll be a Mil so it's fine.

@BOLD me too. i couldnt connect with her character from the very first episode, she is so self centered and she can go completely blind when it comes to her family. i am waiting for PaRo's relationship to reveal, she will put all the blame on Pari and Sona and will say my Rohan didnt do anything

Suman ji's character growth, even if it was slow, it has depth, where Veena ji is with her rose tinted glasses on, meri family, mera beta..the day she said i love you AFTER sona signed the prenup papers..jitni liking thi mujhe.. woh bhi gayi. If Sona had refused to sign them, Veenaji would have jhat se blasted her.. today her hugging Sona was only because Rohit manaaoed her. That hug was cold i felt

NOT bashing the character.. just that she has had a very privileged life.. so she might not understand Sona's pov. Kisi ko tv par like karne mein aur uski lifestyle accept karne mein fark hota hain and this is going to cause tiffs for sure. She used to like Sona on tv.. but i am afraid she will not be able to adjust to Sona's line of work

I had the same thoughts while watching Veena's scene. Veena is loving caring and protective about her things, her sons, her husband, and her family and would go to any lengths to protect them. But Sonakshi is still not in that circle. her love for Sonakshi is an extension of her mad love for her 'favorite' son Rohit. So yesterday's scene makes sense though it is sad for Sona.

End of the day MIL will never be a mother. Veena cares for her family. Her love for Sona is an extension of her love for Rohit and even for Tanya as an extension for Rohan. She will be best with Sona as long as things are fine between Ronakshi and the family is happy. But as soon even half a finger is pointed towards the family or Rohit she will be the first one to turn against Sona. We witnessed this during the prenup, that was an indication of her personality and future. Veena has always been too sweet to be true character. For her her blood and her family is first and nothing is above that. This will go on to create issues between her and Sona especially once Ropa fiasco is out in open.

While on the other hand Suman despite her vile mouth and weird obsession for money is more real as she will choose sides after assessing the situation and not blindly follow. This was evident when she appreciated Sona’s efforts after the Mhatre fiasco was revealed despite her dislike for Sippy’s especially Nishi. Also when she decided to give a chance to Rohit despite her dislike for Sippy’s.

I would find veena sugar sweet too. Always in awww mode. Didn't seem like a mother. For the first time I liked her yesterday when she shouted at Sona and also at siyappa aunty the other day. She at least had some emotions more than just being awww. Suman definitely is more entertaining and humane than veena, I like her more too.
