Roshni rumages through her bag and hands him a pen, he writes the name on his hand and gives her the pen back
KK - ok I better go, see you tonight
KK runs off, Roshni holds the pen in her hand then puts it away in her bag safely.
Part 14
Kar - KK!!!
KK's head jerks up from the tv, he sees Karan standing by the door glaring at him
KK - dude what's your problem?
Kar - we have to go to Ria's house remember, for the projects?
KK blanks out for a second then nods his head and gets up
KK - i'm coming, let me get my bag
Karan leaves the room and waits downstairs for KK, 5 minutes later KK comes down and both leave to Ria's house. Meanwhile at Aryan's house....
Ar - no I'm not going there
R - but I need to study
Ar - but I don't want to see that Ria!
R - then don't see her, you can at least drop me off, please
Ar - fine, but I'm not going inside
Roshni smiles and leaves with Aryan, they get to Ria's house and Aryan sits stubbornly in the car
R - come on Bhai, it doesn't look nice if you just go from here like that
Ar - I told you I'm not going in
Before Aryan can say anything else Prithvi come soutside and sees them both
P - hey Aryan, Roshni
R - hi chachu
Ar - hey chachu, how are you?
P - good, what are you doing out here? come inside
Ar - erm..
Aryan glances at Roshni and sees her smiling, he looks at Prithvi and smiles
Ar - sure chachu
Aryan gets out of the car and locks it, Roshni nudges him
R - looks like you have no choice now but to see Ria
Ar - whatever
Aryan and Roshni follows Prithvi inside, he leads them into the living room where Karan and KK are sitting on the sofa with Tia and Ria
P - leave you lot to it
Prithvi leaves, Aryan sits next to KK while Roshni sits by Ria, Ria looks at Aryan and he gives her a glare and she glares back at him
Kar - so should we get started on the project Ria?
Ri - yeah, lets go in the other room
Ria glares at Aryan then leaves the room with Karan, Tia quickly follows. KK glances at Aryan and nudges him
KK - what's up with you and Ria?
Ar - its nothing, I took her to this party, her friend started dancing with me and she got jealous, I teased her about it and she got offended and hasn't spoken to me since
KK - girls hey.....
Ar - yep....girls....
Roshni, who had been sitting quietly alone, stands up
R - so KK....should we....start the project?
KK - yeah sure whatever
KK gets up and sits by Roshni, Aryan watches as Roshni explains the project to him, KK listens and nods his head, Aryan sits for a little while longer but gets bored and leaves the room, he stands outside the other room where Ria and Karan are doing the project and Tia is watching tv. He grins to himself and takes out his phone, he goes into the room and sits opposite Ria
Ar - Sneha, hi how are you?
Ria's head jerks up, she looks at Aryan smiling away while talking to Sneha and begins to get angry, she listens more
Ar - what tonight? no I can't I'm busy, but I can go with you tomorrow, yeah that's great
Ria gets angrier and storms over to him and stands in front of Aryan with her arms folded, Aryan glances at her
Ar - what is it?
Ria leans closer and whispers
Ri - how dare you get Sneha's number!
Ar - so what's it to you?
Ri - she's my friend!
Ar - and now she's mine, go do your work
Ri - Aryan! you can't talk to her!
Ar - why not?
Ri - because I said so!
Ar - I thought you weren't jealous?
Ri - I'm not.....
Kar - Hey Ria come do the work!
Ri - I'm coming....Aryan seriously stop talking to her!
Aryan grins at Ria
Ar - admit it Ria, you're jealous that I'm talking to Sneha
Ri - I am not jealous!
Ar - yes you are!
Ri - no I'm not!
Ar - then why are you getting so worked up about me calling Sneha...when I'm not?
Aryan smirks at Ria, she looks confused, Aryan shows her his phone and it's off, Ria scowls at him
Ar - just admit you were jealous and I'll leave Sneha alone
Ri - what? I wasn't jealous
Ar - tell the truth Ria
Ri - fine ok....I was a little jealous
Ar - I knew it
Ri - whatever
Ria goes to walk away but Aryan holds her arm and pulls her towards him
Ar - so now that you admitted you're jealous.....why not tell me why you were jealous
Ri - get lost
Ria pulls away from him and goes back to do her work, Aryan laughs to himself and continues to watch Ria mutter under her breath. Meanwhile in the other room Roshni and KK are still working but KK doesn't understand the work and Roshni is fed up of explaining to him
R - come on KK this is the 5th time I've explained to you, how come you don't understand it
KK - what can I do Roshni, I just can't seem to understand this stuff
R - fine you stay here and understand it yourself
Roshni stands up to go but KK grabs her hand and pulls her back and Roshni falls on top of him, Roshni stares at KK, KK looks at the door to see if anyone is there and is about to tell Roshni to get off him but sees her staring and also stares at her, neither notices when Aryan comes into the room, he sees Roshni on top of KK and gets angry
Ar - KK what the heck are you doing with my sister on top of you!
KK's head jerks to the side, he sees Aryan and panics, he shakes Roshni but she is still staring at him
KK - Roshni get off me....Roshni your brother is here.....
R - my brother?.....my brother!
Roshni turns her head to find Aryan glaring at her, she quickly pushes herself away from KK and gets up, she looks at Aryan sadly, KK also gets up and walks over to Aryan
KK - its not what it looks like....we were working and....
Aryan glares at KK and he shuts up, he looks back at Roshni
Ar - in the car now
R - ...but...the project....
Ar - now
Aryan walks off despite KK's many attempts to stop him, Roshni picks up her stuff and slowly goes outside, KK watches her leave when the others come to see what happened
Kar - where's Roshni going?
KK - home
Ri - why?
KK - because...
Kar - because what?
KK - we were doing our work....I didn't understand, she tried to explain but I still didn't understand so she was walking off, I pulled her back to stop her and she fell....
Kar - she fell? why would that make her go home?
KK looks at Karan
KK - she fell...on top of me....and Aryan saw....and took it the wrong way
Kar - oh....you're a dead man
KK - yeah....I know, I'm scared of going to college tomorrow now....God knows what Aryan will do to me
Ri - you idiot!
Ria slaps his head
Ri - you self concieted jerk!
KK - what? what did I do?
Ri - you only think about yourself....you're worried about what Aryan will do to you tomorrow but you don't even care about what he's going to do to Roshni when they get home!
KK - oh my God.....he wouldn't do anything to her.....would he?
Kar - I don't know dude....Aryan might be your best friend....but he is Roshni's older brother
KK - oh **** I'll be right back
Kar - where are you going?
KK - to make sure he doesn't kill her
KK grabs his bag from inside and rushes outside
Kar - wait!!! if you take the car....how will I....
Karan stops talking as KK reverses the car out of the driveway
Kar - ..get home...
Ri - don't worry, Dad will take you later, anyways I'm tired of doing work, I'm going upstairs.....enjoy yourselves
Ria goes upstairs leaving Tia and Karan alone, they both go into the living room to watch tv
T - what do you think Aryan will do to Roshni?
Kar - I hope he doesn't do anything....
T - poor Roshni
Karan smiles and puts his arm around Tia and pulls her closer, they both stay like that until they hear the door opening and Karan quickly jumps away, they look at the door to find Ria there, she smiles
Ri - its only me, don't worry
T - go away Di
Ri - I will, I just left my bag here
Ria picks up her bag then leaves the room, Karan puts his arm around Tia again but they hear the door opening again so he pulls away, this time its Prithvi, Karan smiles nervously at him
P - what you guys doing?
T - just watching tv dad
P - well I need to watch the news so move over
Prithvi sits in between them, Tia glances over at Karan and frowns, he sighs and continues watching tv. Meanwhile Aryan is sitting opposite Roshni in her room, Roshni keeps looking at the floor while Aryan stares at her
Ar - so, mind telling me what happened there?
R - we were studying
Ar - right....studying....and what exactly were you studying? KK's face?
R - yes...I mean no....what happened was...KK wasn't understanding the work...so I was explaining, but he still didn't understand so I got annoyed and decided to go into the other room but KK pulled me back....and I fell
Ar - on top of him?
R - yes....and then you came and took it the wrong way and made me go home
Aryan sits back and looks at her, she looks up at him
R - I'm telling the truth! you know that KK doesn't like me in that way
Ar - ok, I believe you....but make sure it doesn't happen again
Aryan gets up and kisses Roshni's forehead, he's leaving the room when KK comes into the room
KK - Aryan....don't say anything to Roshni, it was my fault!
Roshni is about to speak but Aryan signals her to be quiet
Ar - get out KK
KK - no wait listen, I pulled Roshni so she fell, it was completely harmless, honestly
Ar - I don't care, just stay away from me and my sister understood
KK - come on Aryan you don't mean that do you?
Ar - yes I do now go
KK frowns and turns to leave when Aryan starts laughing and pulls him back
Ar - dude I was just messing around, I know what happened, its cool dude
KK - you scared me you know that
Ar - yeah yeah, you guys do your project, I'll be in my room....and no falling ok
Roshni smiles, KK comes to do the work and Aryan leaves.
KK - he didn't say anything to you did he?
R - not after I explained what happened
KK - cool so shall we get down to doing the work?
R - only if you understand it
KK - truth be told..I understood it first time you explained....I was just playing with you....to see how long it would take you before you got annoyed
R - KK you....
Roshni picks up a book and hits KK, he puts his hands up to protect himself then grabs her hands and stops her
R - go away I'm not talking to you
KK - ok ok, I'm sorry
KK holds his ears and Roshni smiles
R - now do the work
KK - yes miss
The two laugh and get down to doing the work, Aryan watches from outside, he smiles to himself then goes away.
