people keep saying writers only care about mini but how? why would they do this to a character they cared so much for. why give her this pain for a lifetime. make her feel unwanted on top of that.

Yes, but what kind of reconciliation can Arya provide? She's a five year old child. Idek what her understanding of her parents is. I doubt she knows all the emotional trauma they went through or knows any of the heavy baggage they carry.

I think he knows we're hurting and mourning the loss of HS and he's helping us stay sharp but asking us to remember him with fondness, the way we do for the departed.

Also the fact that he took screenshots of our words to keep motivating himself during periods of lull between projects is really such a wonderful thing to know.

His humility is really something else and I think that's his biggest strength. Yeah, he was overwhelmed by the initial reaction to HS and all the adulation since and until now, you can tell from his words. No airs, nothing. He gives all the credit to the others. I love him and am super excited for his next project now. He had to let go of HS to move on to better things. It was a great learning experience for him and for us! Forward spiral.

I know and I really appreciate that, it's just tough right now. It's weird cuz I was looking forward to his exit so that I could be free from this show but the kind of performances we got in the last week has made it so difficult. We were once again reminded of just how GOOD Aniruddh is. It just hit me as to how much we missed out on in the last few months. All that talent wasted so that he could be seen as a side piece.

I think I'll be better after his talk, but until then Imma just be a hot mess.

They threw all the other characters under the bus to generate the maximum sympathy for Minnie. For Babita's case, they literally went against the core of who she was to create all this drama.

The aim was to get people to root for Minnie in S2 so that she emerges as a winner. The problem is that they went about the wrong way to achieving this.

I feel exactly the same way. I thought today/tomorrow I'd be done with the show but they brought up themes that we'd worked so hard to accept and then stirred the hornet's nest again all of last week, especially with the HS-Minnie scenes.

You know how tough it was for me to watch the connection nahi bana paya scene, then reconcile with the current state of things, only to be thrown back into turmoil because of that voice-over scene where they finally became bapu-chhori, at least in their hearts. Today's farewell scene and the locket bit just left me devastated.

And yes, in all this it just stood out even more how even on his way out HS enthralled and moved us, as did Aniruddh's magic on screen. His sheer presence on screen is so powerful that you can't focus on anything else. It's their loss that they couldn't make the most of what he was so eagerly willing to offer with his craft.

I am so glad we got to see him portray a myriad of shades and emotions because I don't think we'd have learned to appreciate his caliber and range otherwise. This has left me hungry for more of him. I am defo gonna go back and watch all his work so that I can see how he's grown as an actor over the years.

Which talk of his are you referring to?

What I meant is that if they didn't care about her connection to HS and Babita then we wouldn't have gotten an entire season about Arya and her, who are connected by blood and eventually will form a dil ka rishta.

We might have seen Ashok's other kid instead.

In reality, very few mothers could be so stubborn as to ignore a child who’s moving away to a foreign country, especially when that child all but begs them to say goodbye. Especially a mother who’s been through such tough times with same said kid, and has constantly said that the kid is “her life”. Disappointed to say the least. I really hope somewhere (even if it’s towards the end) these two speak again else it will be such a tragedy: for babita to die while on bad terms with mini, and for mini to live the rest of her life with a whole lot of regret at how things ended. Why they’ve not showed babita finally accepting mini’s choice and letting her go with her blessing id never know

It’s not about hating Mini because I don’t. But everything was done to garner sympathy for Mini in S2. Exactly, the aim was for us to root for Mini. But if the other 2 characters are ruined to this extent, I can’t root for Mini or for the show. If they wanted to axe HS and Babita’s character to make way for story to focus mainly on Mini in S2 , fine that’s justified but they could have gone about it in a better way, without butchering these characters.

Babita wasn’t this person. They went against her basic core characteristics and butchered her to this extent. Not denying Babita has ego. She does, but so does HS and so does Mini and so do the khuranas and so does NB. But Babita’s was heightened to such an extreme level.

Well S1 has ended now and in such a way that they have broken our hearts and hopes of many people.
