@bold, that's the toughest bit in all this. HS and Minnie discovered each other, felt immense love and a sense of family, and just when they were about to seal this forever, things fell apart. I know he said connection nahi ban paya, but there was still the hope of trying when she came back and keeping in touch over the years. She did tell him she would give him her contact details and that he had her email, which I guess means she wanted them to stay in touch.

Beeji ke liye daily video calls but HS ke liye kuch bhi nahin? She loves him so much, it was obvious as she was leaving. She knew he was hurting but also warned him not to cry. For once, her smiling gesture was also for him because she knew he was going to be heartbroken.

Just as Babita's words hurt her, HS' lack of words hurt her too (and him).

And the lyrics told us what their emotional state will be like. They've lost themselves utterly and completely today. They'll continue living but they won't be alive. Loneliness will be their constant companion.

A father takes on all the pains just for that smile in their child's eyes and he did that. He had said that he would die for her, and today he did, through this sacrifice. I think he finally understood that if he stopped her she would but that could ruin her life.

Initially, I was just mad mad mad that he didn't say anything overly emotional or expressive to her but I think in that moment he was behaving like a typical father, sentimental but stoic the whole time, trying to keep things together no matter how much it hurts. It reminded me of that scene where he remembered his mother telling him that men don't cry and he wiped his tears. All that social conditioning came right back. The amount of symbolism in today's episode was off the charts.

There's probably going to be some moment in S2 where she finds out what HS had in his heart about wanting to be her father and never letting her go and what the significance of the locket is.

well how will she know that? who has HS shared this with and who will tell it to her. i think this is just ending like this. Mini will never know . Maybe only after she meets HS in heaven. She will live all her life like this unless the cvs decide to end it prematurely like hs & babita

Because this is Minnie-centric and she needs to heal, there will be a way for her to find out. Her journey won't be complete otherwise.
