Why couldn’t Sunil Shetty Make It Big past 2000/2001

He, akshay and ajay were big action stars in the 1990s. Those 2 are still very relevant today but Sunil Shetty is not. Why not I wanna know

He can't get rid of his action star image just like Sunny Deol. Just that Sunny already dominated the 90s while Suniel mostly found success with multistarrers.

Cinema changed in the multiplex era and action heroes who couldn't reinvent themselves were the biggest casualty.

actually unlike Sunny Deol, suniel did do different roles like comedy and drama but people refused to accept him in these roles. Sunny Deol refused to grow up and kept on doing action roles with same role. Same with Govinda who didn't reinvent himself with time despite his immense talent. They stuck with 90s. Akshay and Ajay are smart, they changed with time, akki got stuck in comedies and when comedy movies market was fading then he switched back to action and patriotic movies so he didn't lose his fanbase and even earned new fans.

Another difference is when sunny and govinda tried something different if it failed they gave up to easily and went back to same rubbish, but ajay and akki kept on trying until it worked.

He couldn't change as per time like Akki & Ajay .

Who can imagine Ajay doing COMEDY in 90s with those dreamy eyes !

Agree with all the observations besides I also think that Akki and Ajay are better actors than him. Suniel had diction problem. Watch his old movies, it's difficult to understand what he's saying at times, bad dialogue delivery. Baki, as everyone mentioned he failed to change with time. Also, is he of same age group as Akki n Ajay?

no, he is 58, while Akki is 52, Ajay is 50.
