Mere dad ki dulhan is so much fun.. the father is needy there too and he too wants to make his daughter stay with him and not go to states but it's done so realistically.. that's the type of story i wanted in PB but alas.. anyhow, I just swung hy to see who all were still hanging😆

Loll, it's been pretty quiet for the past two days. I suppose everyone will come around next week for the big finale.

Anirudh specifically said he does not want to play father.. I clearly remember reading the interview and I don't think they wanted to kill just Babita.. they wanted the focus to shift to Mini's journey.. mini had to move without any support system and there was no space for Hanuman or Babita in what they had planned.. they decided to kill both the characters together

As for Manali sequence, we already know Babita was supposed to be in it but Paridhi for whatever reason did not go.. it never was supposed to be just about Hanuman

Let me see if I can articulate this... Minnie had always been a modern, smart girl and more worldly-wise than most people her age.

She grew up at the Khuranas with a decent life, and I suppose decent education too. They were a 'modern' family in terms of rehen sehen.

When she came to live with HS, she found him to be an earthy guy with all this rustic flavor. He was progressive in his thinking but that's because it had evolved over time, thanks to Imarti. However, his basic upbringing and surroundings had always been modest, especially compared to the Khuranas. He did not go to a top school, nor was he given a 'modern' upbringing, his mother seemed quite traditional form the photos, the haveli had an old-school feel to it, he himself had a very simple outlook on life as we saw with his lifestyle and dress, he did not speak English so well (we'd see Minnie correct him), etc. You get the gist.

His needs are simple and he is happy with his modest lifestyle. Given all that and Minnie's potential to be socially and economically more advanced, I don't think she could have stayed with HS for too long. He would always be there with arms open but her heart would desire much more, open skies, to travel the world, etc. You can also see in the new show promo that Minnie appears to be quite 'modern' in her dress and style.

That stark difference was highlighted in that imaginary phone call. He in the very 'gaon' style loudly asking if she could hear him, whereas she very calmly told him she could but it was as though his voice was distant, his world was distant. Even the way they were holding the phone shows this difference. The screenplay was remarkable.

I hope this made some sense. It's something I've observed since the beginning but it was really visible again today.

This was really beautiful. It also illustrates the point that human feelings, relations and even emotional and practical wisdom has nothing to do with education. Education is useful for a lot of other things but many important issues in life are situated in a somewhat different area. (I say by nő means that educated people can't be wise, just that the two are disconnected)

HS is probably too traumatised to accept that however you try to avoid it, hurt is a part of life. Personal resilience and the support system you have to deal with makes the difference in outcome I guess.

Mere dad ki dulhan.. it has just the ending kinda story i wanted in PB but alas.. Kher hai.. at least I get the story I want😆

I got done with PB when I realized not only are the killing Babita but killing her after literally snatching every meaningful bond from her.. everyone got their happy ending apart from Babita.. she is the one CVs truly deprived of everything in end.. so now, I don't even care what they show.. they can show Babita trying to murder Mini or abort her baby for all I care😆

This is what I feel happened too.

As for Manali sequence, yes we know that Paridhi was also supposed to shoot, so there would have been Mini-HS-Babita scene in Manali had Paridhi gone, but they had to make do with just HS, so its not like Mini only sees HS because she only cares about him and not babes 😆. What I feel they had planned was for Mini to have a dream sequence with both HS-Babita after she gets the news that they passed (something like YJHD where she couldn't be reached thus received the news late and also couldn't attend the funeral), telling her how much they missed her in the last 5 years and how they want her to go back and take responsibility of her little sister as she's all alone now.

Ya same😆 I wanted Babita to become so self absorbed and egoistic that she kicks both Hanuman and Mini out if haveli or better yet, use the money from the shop to go to Dubai for a vacation and never come back.. villain banana hai tou sahi se banao

Minnie doesn't deserve this. I don't think it would be wrong to say that HS has given her the love of family, identity, and sense of belonging, more than anyone else has in her entire life and in a way no one else can. She actually inherits his legacy (and from the looks of it, his haveli too).

Heroes don't cry but they also don't always succeed. HS is a perfect example of that. No matter how much he tried, he couldn't protect his little family. Now all he can hope for is that the philosophies that he lived by will be carried on by his two daughters.
