I had a feeling we'd hear it one more time. That scene literally packed a punch... to the gut.

The problem with all this is that the butchering started well before the 200 eposides and this is seen from the interviews that the trio used to give and Paridth was always laughing and saying that she is a Child and Mini is the Mother, but She was clearly not happy and this is seen in the interviews. Here I think that Paridth must have challenged RS or KK about her Character not being what she was promised and Ashnoor was getting better lines from the beginning etc and also the earlier backlash that Ashnoor had due to this on Twitter and here after consultation with Ashnoor and when She agreed the big 360 slaughter and butchering started subtly on Babita's Character, with more lines and screen time and than the sudden axeing of Paridth and Ariduth for the sudden Season 2.

Its that RS and KK have big ego issues and when called by Paridth on her Character not being what was portrayed to her and to spite her for speaking out, they took the easy way out and ended her Character completely.

If it was a finite show, than it should have ended with Ladies Special but due to HS popularity they carried on and started to focus on Ashnoor at the expense of the other two, which is not right.

The thing is that once they decided to go with Season 2, and it was meant to be about Bacheri Mini and her love life etc. But due to the backlash from fans and falling trps, they are too proud to say that they made a mistake and now are not sure if Bacheri Mini can carry it off, they bring in the next best thing which is Arya there Daughter, again who will be butchered as well to glorify Bacheri Mini the Mother now.

The thing is that Bacheri Mini is made out to be so unrealistic and Saintly that they have shot themselves in the foot with this RS and KK fascination with Ashnoor is so stupid.

But alas pride comes before a fall and I would love for Paridth and Ariduth to honestly speak out about how RS and KK cheated them by favouring Ashnoor at there expense.

Its about time that Actors come out and speak about Production Houses and Producers, about the way they are treated and promised one thing and they do another.

Babita may need the comforts of labels and tags to live her life but Minnie and HS don't need that. What they have goes beyond the norms of what society has established for them. Even the labeling of step-father / daughter or father / daughter isn't enough because they are beyond that. Unlike others, they just don't need labels. They have each other's love and support, that's all that matters.

Let me see if I can articulate this... Minnie had always been a modern, smart girl and more worldly-wise than most people her age.

She grew up at the Khuranas with a decent life, and I suppose decent education too. They were a 'modern' family in terms of rehen sehen.

When she came to live with HS, she found him to be an earthy guy with all this rustic flavor. He was progressive in his thinking but that's because it had evolved over time, thanks to Imarti. However, his basic upbringing and surroundings had always been modest, especially compared to the Khuranas. He did not go to a top school, nor was he given a 'modern'upbringing, his mother seemed quite traditional form the photos, the haveli had an old-school feel to it, he himself had a very simple outlook on life as we saw with his lifestyle and dress, he did not speak English so well (we'd see Minnie correct him), etc. You get the gist.

His needs are simple and he is happy with his modest lifestyle. Given all that and Minnie's potential to be socially and economically more advanced, I don't think she could have stayed with HS for too long. He would always be there with arms open but her heart would desire much more more, open skies, to travel the world, etc. You can also see in the new show promo that Minnie appears to be quite 'modern' in her dress and style.

That stark difference was highlighted in that imaginary phone call. He in the very 'gaon' style loudly asking if she could hear him, whereas she very calmly told him she could but it was as though his voice was distant, his world was distant. Even the way they were holding the phone shows this difference. The screenplay was remarkable.

I hope this made some sense. It's something I've observed since the beginning but it was really visible again today.

Minnie leaving the Haveli was inevitable but the circumstances that I had initially thought of were on happier terms.

If we're talking about the Haveli, just how much of Minnie is in there anyways? There's obviously HS, his ancestors and then the barsaati had her mother's touch. But where was Minnie in all of this?

From the promos, we can see there's a lot of changes in terms of the furniture and the mashup of assorted objects thrown all around. They're more lavish than what the Haveli previously owned. I think this will be the first time that Minnie will be actually owning some personal space and will he allowing her own personality to lay a claim to her home.

But even despite the differences between the two, their bond was never affected by it. It again, went beyond their education levels, aspirations and ambitions, everything.

Their bond was not affected but her living situation will, and this is life. I don't think HS would have minded one bit if she came back and contributed to doing up the haveli. After the GP, that haveli is rightfully every bit hers as well. You know what got me today, was when he referred to her being like Imarti, whose essence is always in the haveli. Likewise, after she leaves he will always feel the presence of her spirit, her laughter, etc. To think that this is the sorry state of affairs of Imarti's haveli.

Despite everything HS tried to do, again there were women who were hurt in this haveli, this generation couldn't escape its curse either.

@Bold I suspect this is what the dream sequence is about, when she finally understands. She has to, one day.

Now we know which scene Aniruddh referred to in his post. It truly is a wonderful one.

I don't think it's because Aniruddh doesn't want to play a father's role. If that were true, then Arya didn't need to come into the picture. I don't claim to know him but from what he has been saying, his craft is of utmost importance so if he gets a meaty role he'll do it. That's why he took up HS in the first place but the writing didn't do HS much justice towards the end.

They didn't know which way to go with Babita and they wanted to kill her character off. They couldn't have HS widowed again so they killed him off too.

Mere dad ki dulhan is so much fun.. the father is needy there too and he too wants to make his daughter stay with him and not go to states but it's done so realistically.. that's the type of story i wanted in PB but alas.. anyhow, I just swung hy to see who all were still hanging😆

I think interacting with Arya will make her wonder what HS would have done in various situations and in this way she gets to appreciate him all over again.

And I doubt Arya will let Minnie get away with anything. She'll be bound to use her bapu's name as a way of getting what she wants.

It'll be cute to see how they interact with one another.
