Totally agree Meen. Sameer sir is a very good actor. Makers didn't use him properly. Just to white wash the character BigBen makers had to make Baba charcoal black. This was very wrong from the makers side. They put some absolutely illogical tracks to make BB the mahan Maa.

Baba's track was the most boring and irritating track. Makers ko bhi sayad samajh mei aagaya,ishiliye track hi khatam kar diya.

I know most of the fandom is upset with this track, including me for many reasons. These are the most common complaints I've read on twitter and in this forum:

1. Meenu is being whitewashed. All her past deeds are brushed under the carpet by making Baba more evil than her.
   
2. They made Baba evil. He was a role model for Abir but CVs made him completely black.
3. Mishti is being mahaan, detective, typical ITV lead who only cares about being a good bahu and not a good girlfriend.
4. Abir is weak, his thinking skills are gone, he's always crying and is blind about Baba, not asking him questions or doing jasoosi like Mishti to find out the truth.
5. Mishti lying to and hiding things from Abir.
   
6. MishBir Engagement being rushed and is based on lies and manipulations by Mehul/Meenu to get Abir on their side.
7. Too much drama and too little MishBir - lack of balance.
   

Here is my take on this track:

Like I have already mentioned, I'm ok with Meenu's arc here. Her deeds are not completely ignored by the makers. She has been punished for at least some of the bad stuff she did.

The makers have used this trick before too. After MishKun goddhana breaks and the BP - BB confrontation at the temple, it was impossible to think that either of the families would ever agree for KuKu marriage. The solution was to bring an even bigger problem for Meenu-Nanko to deal with, that is, MishBir relationship. In order to break up MishBir they had to go through with the whole wedding. Again, I thought Meenu will be horrid towards Kuhu after marriage. But Meenu was so upset about Kunal and Abir not speaking to her that she ignored Kuhu. So, to get her to agree to MishBir relationship, they had to bring in a bigger problem for her to deal with.

I don't really have a problem with Baba being negative. Of course, I had hoped like everyone else that he would be on MishBir's side and would be a positive character. But except for Abir's memories makers never implied that he was a good person. Meenu who is shown as a strong woman who is never afraid of anyone was terrified when she got Mehul's call. Even Nanu and Koslu hated him and was worried about what he will do this time. Abir was too young to remember even Baba's face. So, his memories are unreliable regarding what sort of a person Baba is. The basic purpose of Baba's entry was to get acceptance for MishBir relationship, which he accomplished, even though it was not in the way we expected.

Regarding Mishti being mahaan like typical ITV FL. I don't agree. Usually, the FL take on the mahaan role when she goes on to try and solve everyone else's problem in the ML's family. Here, Mishti is solving Abir's problem. She was doing jasoosi and finding out the truth for Abir. She also felt guilty because she's the one who brought Baba to Abir. So, she feels responsible. She's scared of the possibility that Baba might not be good. She doesn't want to move out RV house not because she wants to be a good bahu, but because she knows that Abir will never be happy staying away from his family. Abir is thinking about her happiness when he makes the decision to move out. So, the least she could do is to think about what makes him happy.

I kinda like the unpredictability that we have right now regarding where the track is going right now. Usually, we get such clear spoilers that we kinda know what to expect.
