I was also surprised by that answer 🤣. Anika did come more naturally to her but it was a far more interesting character. Also I think they worked so well as team in IB as Shivika that work became effortless. So maybe she feels the effort more here. But that was more to do with the dynamic than anything else. Anika has a lot more to her and SC aced it as Anika. Everyone connected with Anika. Can’t say the same for the current character. Fangirls ki baat chodo. They will heap praises and oversell anything. Her bunch is as rabid as any 😆. Hope she realises the difference. She is a great actress. Hope to see her in something good next.

LOL we probably shouldn't read much into it.....SC is the type to hype whatever she is currently doing.....zyada soch ke nahin bolti yeh.

She is a talented actress but she needs a good script and direction to be effective....sadly, her script choice is damn poor and she is more obsessed with wannabe glamor these days. So I don't know what she will do in the future.....baaki toh time will tell.

Maybe she'll try a web series next but even there, she needs to avoid falling into doing something tacky....she will look even more awkward doing all that. Isko yehi fundamental baat samajh mein nahin aati that she is not cut out for that stuff....instead of owning her strengths, she seems to get caught up in trying to do things she can't pull off. Her fangirls blindly hyping her also doesn't help. Sad.

IB may have been a fun experience to work with cuz of the cast/crew but I don't think it was effortless for her either....she used to talk back then also that they all worked damn hard. She seems to have forgotten all that now.....lol

This is something I have noticed as well. It’s fine upto a point but beyond that ..... ah well ... whatever..(shrugs)

By effortless I don’t mean the hard work. They all worked damn hard. No doubt about. I meant exactly what you are saying that they had settled so well into their characters that like NM once said in one of his interviews they didn’t need much direction after the initial period. (Remember that ad shoot they did for flipkart where they posted all those pics of Take 1 to Tiffany where the director was insisting on “directing” them 😆). And the great thing about Anika was despite the kind of character it was where the portrayal could easily veer into OTT the way SC played her never ever came across as OTT. It was just the right note and felt natural. Can’t say the same about the current character. I haven’t watched anything much of Ishani but a random clip or two that I watched did seem OTT to me. Never tempted me to watch more. Kiddisha is the right word 😆. Because it’s so poorly written. The character, the story everything. SC alone can’t salvage it. But I guess sometimes what is narrated or how you see it on your head can seem better than how you eventually find the writing to be. It’s a learning curve and sometimes one can make professional choices which dont quite turn out how you imagined. She is a great actress with great potential and hope she finds something that does justice to that.

The promo is cute. They’ve cast a cute kid as well so maybe they will find a new audience for this.

Ashnoor still doesn’t look 23 from any angle and she’s still behaving mostly like a 17 year old Mini 🤷‍♀️😂....

The ultimate story of PB is about unconventional parenting I guess 🤔. Lol pehle it was about the unconventional relationship between Mini and Babes and Mini and HS.....Ab it will be about Mini and this kid.

And they will likely show a lot of FBs of HS and Babita. The kid and Mini are both talking a lot like HS. lol the writers seem to think the references to his personality will be enough to fill the void 🤷‍♀️

The story genuinely didn’t need a kid at this point, but I guess they couldn’t handle the post marriage storyline properly and had to jump to this 🤷‍♀️

Oh well, compared to other shows ke leap promos and storylines, this isn’t that bad. I just don’t see it sustaining for very long.

I agree with everything you said but have to admit this looks genuinly cutr. The chatanki is actually cute and ash and little kiddo ka chemistry hai adorable sa. Also the do behno ka sad serial reminded me on chawani watching udaas tv😂

Yeah same. The kid is really cute and her and Ashnoor do have chemistry together. Might check out some epis out of curiosity.
