Koi nahi.....shayad sirf main aur aap aur kuch log yahan. Baaki kisiko kuch padi nahi hai uski.

Well, the fact that all his emotions on this topic remain unexpressed in words is what makes it tragic but beautiful too. Dil mein sau sau ghamein le kar dum todega yeh. Somehow, I feel this would be a fitting end to his arc on the show.

I would remember HS as the man who lived and loved with everything he had, had a huge capacity to empathize with and fight for his dear ones, but died alone.

To add more to that...

The lines might have started to blurr in her mind, but I still think she would have had a hard time truly accepting him as her father (not because of anything HS did). She is way too attached to her Khuranas side of the family. Maybe she feels it’s like betraying her paternal family. Khoon ka rishta is indeed bigger than Dil ke rishtey... sighh smiley13

Ashok will be a horrible father to her. She might not even accept his apology for his behavior. But the fact remains he is still her father in her eyes, no matter what he did.

Once a I had wished she would tell Ashok in his face you are just my sperm donor but my actual father in the true sense is Hanuman Uncle urf my Papa, or Pops, or Babu whatever she would have called him.

You know what Ekta’s show YHM portrayed how step parent can be more than a biological parent in a much much better way. Similarly to Ashok, even Shagun abandoned Ruhi and left her. Ishita came and filled that void in Ruhi’s life and became her mother in every sense. Ruhi never ever saw Shagun as her mother after Ishita. Her mom was always Ishima and not Shagun mama. She defended Ishita in front of Shagun numerous number of time and even Ishita proved that she is Ruhi’s true mother in every sense.

GOT se influenced ho toh GOT jaise gripping storyline likhna sikho. GOT is in another level all together.

Everything that happened in GOT actually made sense, and was actually the fitting end for all the characters in the story (ned’s Death still shocked me but it started the whole thing). Without his death, the story wouldn’t have started so his death in the large scheme of story, though sad, made sense. The story never lost focused barring the finale.

You are right. He will remain a hero my heart no matter what CVs show. For me, HS is the best thing about PB and I am really thankful to CVs for giving all those moments of HS .

@ bold and ironically, this is what makes her exactly like HS. He does understand this very well, because he had a similar complicated relationship with his own father.

I stopped wishing for the bapu scene ages ago and now I don't really see how that would ever happen. I don't think she truly understands what a father's role in her life would/should be, she's never thought about her needs in that sense and now that she's an adult she might not feel the need at all. If she does understand one day, and thinks back to her journey with HS, she will realize that it was right under her nose all this time.

If things had been smooth(er) after the wedding and they had time to get to know one another, over time she may have grown to accept him as a father figure at least, if not a father, but the writers obviously don't want to go that way. I just wish they hadn't put HS through the wringer in order for us to come to this conclusion about their bond.

For me HS = PB, yo baat phinal hai chhori.

It's a character that will always remain with me and I'm just grateful I discovered AD through this.

NB and Lala would do just fine without him.. NB has her son who is reformed now courtesy Mini and Lala now has a mother who can get him married to GK.

HS ko mukti dedo bas.

Yo baat bhi sahi hai, chhori.

Damn! I'm so gonna miss his Haryanvi and his comic timing. Never have I fallen in love with a language because of an on-screen character. This is a first.

He will never get to see her achieve the 'audha' that would make him beam as a proud father. He did tell her what he expected and dreamed of as a father that day but she never objected or corrected him.
