The punishment should be proportional to the mistake one makes, but HS has been punished over and over by life. I know the CD thing was really bad but if you look at the big picture and remember ALL the things he did, does he not deserve forgiveness and a proper second chance to rectify thing or at least be given the time to learn?

Adoptive parents? Often they get no recognition, everything they do or say is second-guessed and they always feel insecure about their ability to do enough for their children. Salute to such parents.
