He had earlier on called himself her father during the consent form scene after the receptionist's questions gave him pause and then the realization hit him that it was what his heart had wanted since ages.

There are so many awesome touches in this scene and the consent form scene.

Oh his stricken expression when Mini calls out for Babes....you just feel for him in that moment....the naked vulnerability on his face......all his love for Mini was stark on his face....nothing, no one else, not even Babita mattered in that moment.....it was one of those rare scenes where he expressed the honest emotions of his heart without trying to pander either way......it was the best version of HS...when he expressed an emotion cuz he felt it honestly....without hesitation....not holding back on someone's account.

And just before this scene, in that consent form scene.....the way he says, "mhaare se zyada koi chinta kar sakta hai kya uski"?.....the little touch of NB smiling as she hears him say that he is Mini's father....the realization on his own face after he says it....along with the frustration that he isn't allowed a legal right despite all his love for Mini......these were the things that made these scenes so special.

The consent form scene still gives me goosebumps no matter how many times I watch it.....the way he's looking at Babita as he reaches out to hold her hand to give her the strength to sign it....his expression and the background score in that scene is just perfectly combined together.

Hands down one of the best scenes in the show. Especially at 03:45 in your clip - the change in HS' expressions as something clicks in his mind - I have never been able to articulate what he felt but AD was spectacular in communicating everything with his eyes. I remember feeling back then that it was when HS realized he felt what Babita did as a parent, this new feeling of being concerned about Minnie as a father himself, and also probably remembering Imarti's situation.

3:45 definitely seems like it was about an Imarti deja vu.....we had no idea in real time cuz that was to be explained later.....but now in hindsight it definitely feels like he went back in his memories to the time when he signed that consent form for Imarti......the haunted look in his eyes is brilliant here.

The other bit that gets me is 3:29 onwards.....the way he's watching Babita as she struggles over the consent form.....such a BRILLIANT piece of acting.....that is when you can tell he feels her pain as a parent as she struggles over a form asking her to ponder about the possible death of her child....this was the scene that brought HS-Babita to life as a parental unit for Mini.....sigh. It was just so beautifully portrayed on so many levels.....just the simple act of him holding her hand to give her strength in that painful moment.....so very touching.

This HS who was just so take charge....didn't hold back in showing his fikar and love.....that balance between responsible officer of the law and a father worried for his child......this is the HS we all fell for. Even little things like the fact that he thought of all the finances and assuredly handled it. Every little touch was awesome in this scene.

Omg this 😭

This scene could have been such a cliche scene but AD took it to some another level, that line that mere se zyaada koi fikar sakta hai kya uski, I was literally teary eyed

@bold the way he finally took control, understood what she was going through and held her hand voluntarily to give her the required courage.. I will forever be thankful to PB for giving me these fictional people and nuances

I LOVED that too😆.....also her "Buddhu ho aap" with a kissie face that she gave him😆.....did he even realize in that moment that she gave him a kissie face that she only reserves for her loved ones otherwise?😆

Mini has always been a brat but I loved how she reveled in it especially with HS......pulling his leg, knowing he will indulge her, melting him with a hug.....all heart these two ❤️

True.as I said AD just took that scene to another level altogether, so many emotions in just a tiny scene, what an actor!!

Oh yes that flying kiss, I would have loved if HS had retorted back saying that chori tu mujhe flying kiss de rahi hai 🤣like he said once chori tu Hanuman Singh ko ankh mar rahi hai 🤣

Yes Mini only behaved a child only with him..does she even realise how much they love each other, well I think she does whatever the writers show us now...the 2 scenes in the last week are enough testimony for me ☺️

Yeah, his stricken face, as though someone had put a lance through his heart. I completely agree, that HS was the best version of himself when he was no-holds barred. I had fallen for him because he didn't tolerate nonsense, was direct and to the point with everything and called a spade a spade.

Yes, that little touch of NB was the validation we needed, if ever, that her son had realized what it felt like to be a parent and I think in that moment she knew HS felt that was she had always felt for him - no blood ties but this overwhelming love and concern for one's child. Yes, the way he markedly held her hand, despite always maintaining a respectful distance, because that was the need of the hour and when they became co-parents to Minnie. Yes, the background score really gave me chills and Aniruddh was something. Also, when he said "mhaare se zyada koi chinta kar sakta hai kya uski?", in that moment I don't think ANYONE could have argued against that because he probably would have gone on a rampage if anything had happened to Minnie. If that's not the outburst of a father, I don't know what is. The screenplay was just mind-blowing, as was every dialogue, every frame.

Yes, I think my level of respect for him went up several notches after this scene. You can visibly see the shift in his emotions and thought process as if his whole world had changed forever there and then, he was no longer just a cop or just an uncle, he was her father and he could relate to Babita's fear because only moments ago he had felt the same concern when he threatened to burned down the hospital as his emotions got the better of him.

@bold, and despite his own worries, he knew what Babita needed in that moment, as he always had, and gave her the much needed assurance by steadying her hand and that small nod to say, "it's ok go ahead and sign it, I'm here, with you both. It will be ok".

Yes, this HS we fell for who used to take charge... I think it all unraveled when the court case reopened. His wounds were reopened too and he just seemed to have lost so much of self-confidence since then that he never seemed to be the same again. The entire hospital sequence from when he takes Minnie's hands as she's screaming and rests them on his while she digs her nails in (the marks can be seen on his hand later too), then cannot see her in pain and just says, 'bas' as he wouldn't let her scream like that, then picks her up and asks her to calm down, he was there, all the while instructing Lala and later NB to take care of the practical needs, getting Babita coffee, etc, EVERYTHING that I would expect a good husband and father to do.
