And my story is bit different. I have always been more interested in literature. But my grades used to be good, I hated maths , and I had no idea about other fields so I ended up in MBBS. As the years passed in MBBS, I realized this isn't what I want to do. Now I'm at the end of the tunnel, so I'm going to complete it anyway. If only I had appeared for career counseling, I would have chosen something different.
With career counselling too, you have to be very careful about which counsellor you approach. The one I went to saw all my past certificates and scores and just said you'll be able to excel in any field you take up.. And she never gave any advice about what I should do or what my inclination seemed like.
I was like, but WHAT field do I take up? Excelling is not the point, the field is the main thing! Woman, why did I pay you if you weren't going to tell me anything relevant!

I've heard that.
I dunno but a film needs to be made solely on the coaching frauds that happen for JEE. How they manipulate you, and there are no back ups. And you feel cornered by everything.
Oh.. this one just focuses on pressure side of exams.
But yes. It should definitely come to front.
I am glad hum bach gaye. Hamare waqt itna JEE ka pressure and popularity nahi tha. I did Computer Engineering in local state college and survived just fine.

Ohh ohh I see.
Yeah, career counseling is a must. I had gone through this and the counselor advised me to take up medical science but my love for Maths superseded everything. I was adamant on it.

GUJ CET right? I got admission through GUJCET too. Thankfully it was based on state board curriculum unlike NEET.

This happened with my sister recently. We went for counseling and it was bs. They charge a bomb and then you realise you have no clarity and you're there where you were before it, confused and clueless.

One silver lining in my life are my parents. They've never pressurized me for performance. They're like, there are so many years left in your life, ek do saal ka Kya hisaab... kuch na kuch ho hi jaata hai...
The situation is the absolute worst with IIT because people are so damn obsessed with this idea of IIT.
If any kid is really good at school, or they score very well in Boards, everyone immediately starts telling them to go for IIT. Doesn't matter if the kid wants to get into Arts or Commerce. Achhe marks hai Boards me, toh Science lo, or IIT ke liye try karo.
Literally every one of my friends who took up Science, that too with Maths, in their 12th was made to go through JEE by the coaching classes whether they wanted to or not. "Try toh karo", or uss trial ke chakkar me unko fees mil jati hai.

Mujhe toh channe ke jhadd par itna chadha diya tha fees aithne ke chakkar mein that I couldn't see the reality until I got that hard slap 🤣
Anybody likes crime drama here... just asking... if yes then try “BREAKING BAD” this is the show is well written... flawless... all seasons top rating... I’m too much into that show... even now... 👍🏼
It's been on my watch list. Will give it a shot.
I loved Person of Interest and The Americans (which is my all-time favorite). Top-notch writing.
