Idk what Minnie's deal is since I don't think she emancipated herself from Ashok. So, technically even though she may have changed her name, she didn't legally remove him of his rights over her. And as HS said, he's legally not her father so she can't put that relation down. But she could have put him down as her legal guardian.

That being said, even if she was uncomfortable putting HS' name down, why didn't she use Babita's?

Maybe she applied after divorce but before changing name. And article only states that problem arises due to the fact that ashok's name is as father, maybe babitas name is there too but drama is created over ashok as father.

Honestly why would HS make a fuss about Ashok’s name under father? He was the one talking to Mini about Ashok last week. It makes no sense. I can see why Babita will make a fuss about it, not HS.

No, but she applied for the university just a few weeks ago, so obviously it'll be post divorce.

Idk what the papers are like for international students, especially Indian ones, but it's NOT easy to come over as a student. There are so many rigorous tests you need to pass in order to do so. And NO ONE gets in just on a photography scholarship.

Everything they're showing is nothing less than bullshit. They're just creating unnecessary drama so that Hanita and Minnie separate forever and she flies off to wherever the fck she wants to go while Hanita die in misery. It's just fcking disgusting. Makes me wanna punch the writers in the face.

Legally speaking, Ashok IS her father. It's plain facts. Basic Degree Colleges in India may give you a pass and say it's okay if you keep the Father column blank in your application because you kicked up a fuss in their office, but I doubt Major Foreign Universities would be that lenient. If they are asking for the applicant's father's details, she has to give the details of her legal father. And that's Ashok. There's no point in HS making so much fuss about it.

It really depends on Monday's episode and what HS does with Ashok's letter. If he gives it to Minnie, then okay... if not then it's still okay... but he'll be more hurt because Minnie went behind their backs?

Idk, I think he'll be more upset about her lying and sneaking around more than anything. Or the fact that she's supposedly having more trust on Ashok and hence is sharing her plans with him rather than HS.

Gur, I'm just disgusted. They are not just cheapening the parent-child bond but also making Minnie's bravery and zest for life appear to be callousness and outright selfish. Not fair to her character either.
