I really liked Shaurya as Kairav, however, we only know one side of the story. Of course dkp won’t get involved in mud slinging for a child actor, so they have refrained from commenting.

I not advocating for dkp or saying what they did was justified, but they are running the show for 11 years. I am sure they know what they are doing. They replaced Shaurya despite the love and acceptance he received from fans, so there must be reason for that. Even before he fell sick, his parents apparently had a problem with his shooting hours. The problem was resolved, however, thinking from the production’s POV, if within the first 5 weeks they were facing so many issues with the parents, why would they wanna continue working with the kid and risk future disagreements?

Shaurya was really cute, was the perfect size for Kaira’s child but his dialogue delivery wasn’t clear. Fair enough he’s 5 but when you are on a show, you have to be clear for the audience to understand what you are saying.

I don’t like Tanmay’s acting, however, I do think it’s a bit unfair to compare him to Shaurya given the fact that we don’t know how Shaurya would have acted in the current track.

Shaurya had some nice expressions and I’ve seen a few videos of him doing some short acting monologues with actions etc..he’s actually quite good for his age...no doubt about that..I think when he started the show ..his role was very long, Remember when the Goa track started post leap there were mainly kathik kairav phone scenes and naira kairav house scenes ,.actually kairav got most of the screenspace ..so the hours were probably too long for a small child. But when he was replaced with tanmay ..tanmay didn’t get as much screenspace ..as there were more scenes with other characters then..,.so most probably tanmay was not working as long as Shaurya had too..because 10 hours is very long for a small child...But as you say maybe the PH took this into account as well..

I think the only criteria was his skin colour because he’s fair like Mohsin?

I remember after i watched the episode in which he was introduced, I wanted to cry thinking about the future of Kaira and the show. The way he said “papa” when Kartik came to pick him, I cringed so hard, I couldn’t bring myself to watch the next few episodes 😆.

Thank god the makers were smart enough to shift focus from Kairav for a couple of weeks following the replacement. His minimum screenspace at least gave us time to adjust to him. He’s improving now, so at least he’s bearable barring a few scenes where he gives those deadly stares to Kartik.

if I look at tanmay...he can pass for karthiks son.. but not with naira as mom... Shaurya looked more like a child who will be a combination of karthik and naira in complexion and features.. because karthik and naira differ in complexion and features...This is just looks wise lol.. and regarding looks, I always though mohsin and mohena were chosen well as karthik and keerti..they looked like brother and sister,,.and manish looks like k dadi..lol.. and this new naksh looks like naitik and the young naksh...whereas the previous naksh looked like naira and they could pass for bother and sister,.
