Ishaan had been KM's best role in recent times.silsila is the only show where parallel leads were loved more than the leads.(Aditi was parallel pre leap)it rarely happens.

I don't know when KM entered makers decided any end game or not but makers soon realised that majority liked ishaan and mauhaan and their relationship developed during ML track.ML track had many hints that mauhaan will be the end game.
