Its simple wht worked in the past doesnt work anymore. ITV is regressive but u cant challenge the sensibility of the audience. They judge and understand underlying emotions and values. And most importantly knows wht to expect from whom. Isliye at one end they accepted child marriage show for the simple reason they knew wht thy wud get in the parcel. That was the audience who chose to watch the show and accepted it as a package. However fooling them with whitewashing failed coz they cud see the hypocrisy of the naration. Trp audience aren't seasonal audience. They connect with characters and understand them. And they watch shows for entertainment and not shocks.
