Ashok was always a mystery to her, one that needs to be solved and neatly packed away.

Damn! HS' face when he said he hadn't realized she missed "her father" Ashok so much. 😔

Once upon a time I had wished for Ashok to return so that I could see a dad vs dad fight and for Minnie to choose HS as her father.

I feel like a royal fool for ever having thought that way.

I doubt thd pH leaves her time to explore this, but it would have been an important message....

This would've been a great message but we won't get to see it. They're either going to leave S1 on a bitter ending or something that's passable. But I doubt anyone will be happy with how things go down.

Hugs from me too. I know it's hard. 🤗

I have a very close bond with my father. He has been my guide, mentor, role model, and friend, always stood by me when no one else did. Even when he doesn't understand what I want to do or why, he still trusts me and is there for me whether I succeed or fail, always asking me to focus on the positive.

That's why the HS-Minnie bond has been so precious to me. I see in HS what I have always seen in my father, that immense capacity to love but also discipline when required, the desire to raise a person to be good to herself but also fight for what's right.

Damn that stuff leaves nasty impact on kids' minds. Who does he want to live with? My salute to his father (I won't call him step) for showing his love and conviction in the face of all odds.

I haven't discussed with him in person - my eldest son is his friend and he told me as much plus my hubby talked with his step dad who was bringing him over. He's kind of devastated as well. I'm just trying to make this weekend fun for the kids as much as I can for the time being, I don't want to get obnoxious or interfere without being asked....

It might be, but that's a lesson she will have to learn, unfortunately the hard way.

What will piss me off is if she chooses HS/realizes his worth because Ashok 2.0 convinces her.

I'd rather she come to this position on her own.

Ashok congratulates Hanuman and Babita on their marriage. Says I hope you are able to give her khushiyan and pati ka pyar that I couldn't. He says he understands that HS probably doesn't want him to reach out to Babita directly which is why he is sending the letter to HS. Ashok says along with the letter, he has also sent 50,000 RS which he owed Babita for the flight tickets to London that she got him. He further says, my relationship with your wife is still intact because of Mini. It doesn't matter however much Babita denies, Mini is his daughter too and usse milne ka, samajhne or samjhane (I didn't quite get it) ka, contact mein rehne ka usse haq hai. Wherever he's been, he has always sent Mini gifts for her birthday, but this time he didn't (didn't quite get it)... and he goes along to say some of those money he sent is what he owed to Babita, and the remaining is for Mini (something along the line of whatever I could gather).

I have a feeling Ashok will finance Mini's education in Australia.

Pura whitewash kardiya Ashok ko 🤪

@Bold, I think so too and of course Minnie will forgive him and happily accept his money.

HS kaun hai? Ek maamooli sa inspector, par Minnie ka baap to London mein rehta hai apni cool biwi ke saath.

Thik hai I understand she needs closure. Its sad to think after all that HS did for her, she still seeks Ashok as a father. I guess khoon khoon hota hai at the end of the day 🤔. Whatever!!!

I'm not sure it is about blood ties. Maybe it's about what could have been but wasn't... The void no Hanuman can fill, not because he's any less, but because he's someone else.

I agree with Reka. The letter didn't make it seem like they were trying to whitewash him. Rather, he is acknowledging all the mistakes he made and is trying to make up for them in whatever way he can. He doesn't expect Babita to forgive him or invite him back into her life and thus hasn't asked for it. He paid back whatever she gave him in ways that are simple, i.e., monetary.

That being said, he is right that no matter how much Babita denies it, Minnie is his child. If not emotionally at the moment, then definitely by blood. If he wants to reconcile with her, have some sort of relationship with her, then he has every right to want it. Whether or not Minnie wants it in return is a different matter.

HS will obviously support Minnie in whichever decision she makes. Besides, hadn't he brought up the hypothetical situation of, if Ashok ever tried to reach out to her, will she listen? At the time she had dismissed, but it's not hypothetical anymore. It's very real and she will have to decide one way or another.

However she gets it, Minnie needs closure. Whether she chooses to keep Ashok forever in her life as her permanent dad, or at a distance and think of him from time to time, she needs the opportunity to get there.

HS may understand this but Babita definitely won't. She'll be terrified of losing her to Ashok. As it is, there are tensions in their home regarding HS and his fatherly status. If Minnie rejects him (officially) and chooses Ashok, it'll devastate them both even more.

@bold... you do realize this is exactly what's going to happen? Babita will feel she has lost Minnie forever and that would break her heart, as well as HS'.

I know Minnie doesn't care about what happens to HS but something will make her want to leave her Babes despite her saying that she loves Babes the most in the world.

I don't know what to think anymore. Just the fact that Hanita needed to exit and that they are bringing Ashok back just seems so out of place to me. Also, I translated in English so I might not have gotten the tone right, but if you read it in Hindi, the tone with which Ashok writes it and calls HS aap with izzat and all just seems so contrived, esp after what we have known of Ashok so far. 🤔

HS deserves to have his own child. Let Hanita have their own child and relocate them off to another country. I will be happy knowing Hanita and their baby are living somewhere happily.

But that's the Ashok that we know in India. We don't know how he was in London. Obviously there had to have been something in him which made Meeta fall so irrevocably in love with him. She couldn't even recognize the man she was seeing in India.

Idk, maybe if they had met in other circumstances Ashok truly may have been more respectful.

At this point, I feel like they'll do anything to keep any character they can except Hanita.

Thank you, dear. Chalo, Babita and Ashok don't owe each other anything anymore. They will probably have Ashok and Minnie start with a clean slate.

Maybe the senior Khuranas will finally finance her education, at least partly, since they couldn't do it last time because of Beeji's medical costs.
