I agree with both the views...as much as this sex education was an advanced step with regards to itv history, showing Sona being naive about it was a dumb thing. I liked it how she said that we know everything in today's era through friends or internet, yet maa's advice is needed...good attempt to overcome the restrictions of itv yet not being unreal that Sona doesn't know a thing about it. Even if Sona had had an intimate relationship with Karan, I don't think she would explicitly tell that to Suman as if I have done that, I know it, maybe the relationship of Indian parents n their children is not that advanced yet in most of the cases...so I m ok that she didn't tell this to suman.

However, I do have an issue with this that they r showing Sona like Parvati in this case again. No girl in today's era would be restricting those advances of her bf when she loves and trusts him so much that she was going to get engaged to him. This is really unreal. Background, education, status nothing matters when it comes to sexual desires. Biological clock does start ticking at a specific age. Whether u r married or not, rich or poor, educated or uneducated, working or not... doesn't matter...if u have a partner u r in love with, u go ahead with it to a little extent at least. Heck, even in rural areas too these things happen. It is just that their ways might be different or they might not be explicit about it. Sona is a TV actress living in a city like Mumbai for god's sake.

Chalo theek hai, Karan k time pe she was younger, didn't want to do it or they had to keep her virgin specially for Rohit. What's stopping them now? What was that shaadi se pehle kuch nahi? If not ultimate SR, they can at least have some sensual intimacy, it's completely normal. With this "different and realistic" show and the challenges Sikcand has been taking, I expected much better in this regard. For that matter, I expected them to do it before marriage which is very common these days, but it's ok, I understand they have to cater to all types of audience, or it is a milestone event in a shows lifespan so fine...but give some hot romance please!! Show both of them having sexual desires and none of them shying away from it and them indulging in some pleasure. That will be real advanced step in ITV. The resistance power of itv females is on unimaginably ultimate level🙏

When I read this scenario in the WU I felt it would be stupid considering it's a mature love story where the leads are in their 30s. But then it goes to show how a good direction and acting can make any scene work on screen.

It was wonderful and heartwarming to see the scene played out between the mother and daughter and esp liked when suman disclosed her experiences which many previous generations can relate to.

See I feel the makers broke so many conventional scenes. Loved the conversation of Veena and Rohit and now this.

It never looked like they focused on Sona experiences in intimacy either in current or past relationships. Rather the focus was on communication between parents and kids which strengthen their relationship.

As I said it was a very well written, acted and directed scenes. Hope to look see more of these akward scenes and KHKT way of handling them. It was very refreshing...

yes it is a very bold but necessary step

I liked the scene it was not uncomfortable for me

it also added another dimension to suman-sonakshi relationship

Sona is a 28 yr old big city girl of today’s times, who has had a boyfriend that she nearly married. What are the chances of such a girl not having kissed ever or even thought abt suhaagraat? The PH doesnt hv the guts to show the FL as someone who may hv had some degree of physical intimacy or at least kissed before.

The way Raima unhesitatingly casually spoke to Rohit abt still having a bikini body, indicates some level of intimacy. So its ok for the ML?

As far as j know in USA ..sex education is taught for 14 yr old

It's about safe sex .healthy sex .like using pulls condoms and morning after pills usage ..urine tract infections consulting gynacologist etc

Now she is 28 yr old getting married . She need the above ???

He has made it a joke on ITV audience

Now if the show has a 16 yr sheltered gal getting married like under age marriage ..giving the sex education above makes sense ..

U have to include social causes .but a proper criteria and timing should be there ...other wise it turns out to be a joke

I think the treatment of the scene was good

It was finely tuned between comedy and reality

It was well acted , moreover I laughed at the fact that it was Muniya who went and asked Suman to talk to Sonakshi .. she is very dedicated to her didi 😆

In fact that was one of the aspects I disliked about it. No domestic help, however many years she has worked with the family, should think that she can involve herself in such personal matters. I would absolutely hate it if any maid in my house took it upon herself to talk to my mother abt personal matters concerning me.

Sona herself said these days they get information from other sources.But most of the parents are not aware of this aspect.That's why Suman also thought that Sona is not aware of it.She said that Karan was her friend n suddenly they decided to get married.So they hinted that she was not in love with him.He also said that she never let him touch her.As Sona was'nt deeply in love with him kiss never happened.But with Rohit she was willing 4 a kiss twice.First time it was Mahesh n 2nd time Rohit did'nt kiss her

In India still there r many women who are not aware of it.In Indian schools sex education is given not to control pregnancy but to warn them not to get into physical relationship with anyone as it can be dangerous to the girls as men are hardly affected by it.Among Christians it is compulsory for the couple to attend sex education class before their wedding.

If she was not in love why she agreed to marry ..marriage is not a game u decide all of a sudden

If she is not in love why she maintained him as BF ..for 4 years ..

Actually u made Sona character cheap ..hope u understand ..

Kissing does not make a character cheap ..but not in love maintaining BF and then agreeing for marriage makes it cheap
