I was expecting it to be about Ashok so it was fine, but I felt bad for Minnie again pushing away her own feelings to focus on Babita's needs. This is very very unhealthy to do, and it doesn't look like the writers are going to tackle this anytime soon.

The scene proved exactly why she needs HS in her life to develop properly. He is the only one who challenges her feelings, brings her emotions out in the open and also gets her to see things from multiple angles. She finally understood that she wasn't the only one, that he too had a complex relationship with his father.

Today we finally saw what I'd always suspected: she has not been able to let go of some hope deep down of Ashok communicating with her, which is why she has never been able to give HS the place of her father. That yearning for him since her childhood is still there, still unresolved. Until her issues with Ashok (or at least her feelings) are sorted out, she will remain this way. HS knows it and this is what he saw in her eyes on the wedding day, what triggered his insecurities. It's a shame that he will never open up to her about what he felt that day, and after what she told him today, I doubt he'd want to.

Now that she will leave home, there won't be a chance for HS and her to resolve their own issues or grow closer as father-daughter. He will remain her mother's husband first and a 'good adult' whom she goes to when she needs something.

This will very much be one-sided caring from HS' side as a parent, but maybe that's what unconditional parental love means. In another show (or even this one until episode 200), they would have eventually become father and daughter over the years after understanding each other, and especially as Minnie became older and began to see things from HS' point of view. I would like to think this would still happen to the HS and Minnie we had grown to love and cheer for.

Despite everything that happened recently, they can't seem to cut each other out of their lives and it's not just because of Babita. HS had no need to go speak to her today, but he did, as he had in the past.

Once again a lot of the things that Minnie touched on were already discussed by us. It would have been nice to see these issues be explored further but given the circumstances right now, and I don't see it happening. Even if it does, I don't find myself being too invested in it.

One thing is clear, HS-Mini will never become father-daughter. Cvs have left that. Now she will be reaching out to Ashok and maybe reconciling with him. I hope by the end of this season, at least Babita gets to know this.

@bold, I tried to watch it without any bias today but I actually took away the fact that they have a chance of being so in the long run (which will be implied, off-screen, etc.)

One day I would love to hear what Aniruddh and Ashnoor have to say about the destruction of this bond. How did they feel playing it and what was their take on it?
