Days after Sanjay Leela Bhansali announced Baiju Bawra, there have been speculations about its lead cast. As per a recent buzz, the filmmaker is planning to rope in Priyanka Chopra Jonas in the lead for the movie.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been the talk of the town lately. After all, the ace filmmaker announced two big projects lately. Days after confirming his collaboration with Alia Bhatt in Gangubai Kathiwadi, Bhansali announced his next magnum opus as Baiju Bawra. It was reported that it will be a revenge story of a maverick maestro and will be hitting the big screens on Diwali 2021. Indeed, the filmmaker got the cinebuffs excited with the big announcements. Soon, this major announcement was followed by speculations about the cast of the magnum opus.

Lately, it was reported that Bhansali’s lucky mascot Ranveer Singh will be playing the titular role in the movie marking the actor-director’s fourth collaboration. The duo had earlier worked together in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani and Padmaavat. While the fans were excited about their collaboration, it is now reported that Bhansali has approached Priyanka Chopra Jonas to play the female lead in the movie. According to a report published in Telly Chakkar, Priyanka will be seen romancing Ranveer in Baiju Bawra.

Although an official confirmation about the same is still awaited, if the reports turned out to be true, Ranveer and Priyanka will be sharing the screen space for the fourth time after Gunday, Dil Dhadakne Do and Bajirao Mastani. Besides, PeeCee also did an item song his Ranveer’s 2013 release Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela.

While the speculations about the cast of Baiju Bawra continues to be rife, it is reported that the revenge saga will begin rolling after Bhansali will finish working on Alia’s Gangubai Kathiwadi which will be releasing on September 11, 2020.

Who did we see going to SLB's office recently? Alia got her movie from him so it won't be her in this. That leaves, Ranveer, Karthik, and Deepika. Hmmm....
