A annoying new idea struck and this teaser was born. Everyone who has written with their lovely and kind words, I cannot tell you how grateful I am. It makes writing worthwhile.
Teaser:
She was spitting mad and she was too far gone to care that she was making a spectacle of herself.
“Hey, you’re up late. Something the matter? Kuki okay?” Rishabh asked worriedly, rubbing his stubble. Her husband looked more than a little rumpled, jacket and tie laying forgotten on the table, his shirt unbuttoned. The kind of messy that made her see red. She ignored the curious eyes of Varuna Sehgal, walking over to her husband, their gazes locked.
“Everything is fine. Just came to get you. It’s pretty late.” Prerna replied, a sultry purr to her voice. She intentionally swayed her hips a little, her skin prickling with suppressed anger.
She leaned in close behind him, draping her arms over his chest in show of possession and dominance.
Was Varuna watching? Good.
Prerna nuzzled his ear for a second before taking a sharp bite to his ear. This was war. And she was going to render her philandering husband bloody. “Time to make a deal. If you don’t send her packing, I will walk into your 11 am conference tomorrow to remind you to apply your anti-rash cream and that will just be the beginning.”
He let out a strangled groan, eyes heated, a smirk spreading across his lips. “Trying to play my—”
“10 minutes. You have 10 minutes to get her out of here. Or I’m going to make your life a living hell. Leaning in closer, she pulled him closer, cupping his face in one hand.
“We’re working—”
She kissed him then. A harsh reminder of her threat. Her lips aiming to bruise. How fitting that their first kiss was born in conflict and anger. And just as quickly she broke contact before she got swept away.
“10 minutes.”
She stepped off from behind him and sauntered out of their study.
