The stereotype otherwise has been that they only stick to their own languages but never speak any others....this feels more natural given how people from different parts of the country obviously pick up different words and languages as they travel to different parts for education/work.....this perception that people in the South are silo-ed and can't pick up Hindi slang is kinda getting broken now.

Even in OKK, they spoke Hindi in some portions cuz they were living in Mumbai.....and in DC, it was cute how Lilly would go "Kya baat hai" to tease Bobby from time to time about things like his poetry😆

And that one scene when Bobby first spoke in heavily accented Hindi to that friend Rubina of Lilly's when he gets to the cricket academy😆

Of course this idea is so outdated aise toh koi kabhi kuch na seekh sake mother tongue aside but people do learm other languages to survive and fit in and due to needs and wants abhi mere ko hi lelo i now do understand but by bit in all 3 language ofcourse i need subs but not as lost either 🤷‍♀️ and my only resource has been the films

Dulquer ka south movies are nice. I watched mahanati a few weeks back and he did a great job in it. Even his charlie was nice i liked it.

Vijay is again a great actor and honestly think he is fine where he is. Bollywood is too high on themselves to give these stars their actual value. Infact during zoya factor every IV everywhere they all specifically kept mentioning how sonam is a bigger star and DQ must be very happy to work with her wherein if u ask me DQ is a far bigger star in terms of acting talent. Idek what popularity sonam has anyway. Though his movie karwaan in bollywood i did like it was a nice easy watch. Mithila is also great to watch and irfan khan toh no words.

Zoya factor i loved the book don't know why anuja made all the changes that she did for the movie. Anyway with sonam as female lead and story from her pov completely movie toh dubni hi thi.

Loved DC SO much i think i have watched that movie some 15 20 times by now!

AR his acting was superb but that story was not for me i just honestly felt repulsed by it. That level of toxic relationship and white washing it with that's their kind of true love.

Oh even he did a good job in mahanati. But star was keerthy! And then DQ. These two were soo damn amazing. One of the best biopic for me.

Also people going off in tangents like age nai karna show chod diya actors this that soo naive the fans can be lol. The more appropriate question is why leap? Is it necessary? This has for ages been the easiest way out when hit with story block.

See arjun reddy has emotional attachements it was the first that holi scene in hindi is just sooooooo bad shahid trying soooo hard and then you see the vijay's version the range he os going through you can see hin frustrated at his own behavior too and then gettibg overwhelmed vy what she went theough and honestly shalini took her time to grow as preity but kiara is no match. She is a natural too yes not the prettiest heroine out there as they have said arjun was like she is the prerttiest it was hard to beleive at forat for me too and i was like meh she is so average but then the emotional attachment and i have heard their making and all there is a reason Vijay praisies her so much and finds her the most talented of all his co actors. The best thing about ar wasn't just the film itself it was thw whole group of friends his hest friend in ar is just sonething else also for me it holds so much more special place because i have seen these guys rise with that film all of them rahul ramakrishna included but honestly that pms dialogue in hindi sounded so tacky and just fake to me but wheb vijay says that you get what he is trying to say and his point and that self induced mi or coma even his brother is so much better in original and the daadi

Also KS for me was too cariacaturish with the punjabi family i mean "ofcourse" it was just not believeable for me seeing preity as a tulu girl and him solid reddy

Yes dulquer was humiliated of sorts in whatever shit he did with sonam as much as i enjoyed the book and love dq am passing on that caz it looks so tacky and yes these guys should stay in their respective industries only with izzat yahan inko neizzat karane hi laate hain pehle bichare dhanush ke saath kya kia ab toh orabhas ko bhi saaho ka ladoo mil gaya seriously they do so well in their industries and are so respected then they want to get exposure atleast that was the reason for DQ he openly admitted byt bro you are doing so well for yourself in malayalam and tamil industry why get treated like 2nd class citizen here i will never get it but chalo i guess they need money to run their production houses so they do it once in while. What i really like is all fo them are now making their own films under their own banners Dhanush,DQ and now VD also has his forst release upcoming next and that they all have been sticking yo their friends from starting like even though VD baceme such a big name now he is still working with the guys he started off with and now launching those guys under his banner very sweet of them same with dq

Shahid ki acting was his usual Shahid levels.

I do understand your point though if you've seen the original and been attached to its making and all toh obviously wohi better lagegi.....like for me, I'd seen OKK on Netflix and when that Aditya-Shraddha version released later, it was just SO blahh for me.....well woh baat aur thi that casting was such a let down after seeing Dulquer-Nithya being so effervescent in the original.

For AR, when I'm saying girl looked blahh in the trailer, I'm not talking about her looks, I'm talking about her acting. But you make a fair point ki maybe she grew into her role as Preeti in the course of the movie.....trailer mein toh she mainly looked like a robot following him around. I'll have to watch the movie to get a sense of her acting.

Yes yes yes mahanati is hands down the best biopic to come out of desiwood bollywood can choke and die seeing it and how biopics can be made Dq was fab fab fab as gemini ganeshan( rekha's father) but keerty blew the coms out for it nobodu gave her 2 rs izzat before and she came and she just hit a sixer and how brah i have never been inpacted by a biopic like that and for heavens sake i had no idea about the star savitri or who she aas caz clearly my knowledge of SI is very limited and it is a fact but this woman just made me weep and cheer for her like nothing else . My only soight complain with that was the deleted scenes like the one where rekha comes to visit and all they are all on youtube i know the length got crazy long but ahh i wish they were there

Mahanati is easily this generations classic and i never knew alk that about rekha and her family and how twisted they were

I know what you meant ke sorf looks hi nahi yes she was shown a bit too idiot types seedhi initially and irked me big time too ke bas letting him stalk and boss around kuch toh bol but yes she grew on me esp now thst i have seen tbe film few times

The first time tbh it was unbearable in the sense that i was repulsed too at his stalking and not letting her make a single decision but then VD and the way he showed his obsesseiveneas made me reallg appreciate him and his sincerity playing such a douche and repulsive guy like ughhh arjun was such a nasty dude but VD made him so beleivable and that is where i actually noticed him and went wait this dude is good i had no idea about the cult status of the film or anything i randomly played it on amazon one night and went this fuy is from pelli choopolu which is really the trendsetter in telugu industry the one that really chamged the tide towards progressive cinema and is now a very important film esp for TFI but VD too and qent no way it can't be that dork haha and then that subramanium film with naani where he was a geek haha

I didn't think the movie would end up being about addressing a Me Too topic but they still gave a good message. Waise toh it was quite a journey for Bobby and Lilly but they wove the central theme of having a support/Comrade in your life nicely through all the ups and downs :) yup it was not expected seeing the first half but then they actually managed to send a message across in such an effective way and it was surprising and mostly shocking for the telugu masala flick audience too tehy expected another AR esp with the angry side of bobby but then got a me too and then there were lots of inside politics too in spreading bad WOM i which is why it didn't managed to be as big a blockbuster but still it got the acclaim that it deserved and am happy for that

This actor Vijay Devarakonda is really good.....especially in the intense and emotional scenes. There's one scene in the police station towards the end when he takes a puff of his cigarette and tells the guy interrogating him that I'm not scared, you are😆.....ekdum natural swagger se kiya....haha swagger and RowdyIsm to koot koot ke bhara hai and ek dum effortless 😆Ok storytime Vijay said that they had planned a big fight seq after that and had the best fight artists and choreographers on set with a lot of prep work and excitement from crew ke bohat bada seq hai mega budget wala but then he did that in the flow and went why a fight is needed the message is sent and then they changed it . that is another thing about him he really gets involved in process of making in all it's films gives his inputs and mostly because he works with all these guys just starting or as experienced as him they get the audience pulse better for the most part. Btw VD is quiete a talkative guy as in you ask him one thing and he will giev you an hour long deep answer kahan se kahan se kahan personal experiences etc etc sab kuch rofl at times it is like oh bhai bas kar ja saara gyaan aaj hi dega rofl and rashmi always teases him ke pehle i will answer warna by the time meri baari aati hai main question or topic hi bhool jaati hoon hahahah

The girl was sweet too.....they have quite a sweet chemistry together :) rashmika is just starting up it is her 4th or 5th only and she proved herself now she is doing some very big films in both tamil and telugu industries and am happy for her she deserves it hahah their chemsity is really famous and she clearly has a huge crush on him always blushing around him and then their nok jhok is adorable lol i love that they don't let the rumors effect them and still go around acting like naughty kids at times. yes they are rumored to be dating from a long time esp after her engagement broke but they really never gave it bhav and still go on like usual hehe

The music and the lyrics were all nice too. i love love the music it is soooo soothing gosh i am obsessed with it

I thought Telugu movies supposed to be loud and caricaturish in general but this one wasn't like that surprisingly😆

God bless subtitles....lol koi bhi language ho, atleast we are able to watch now.

oh and just for the puppy dog looks and pure innocence . the atraction is shown in such a natural touching way so frigging adorbs

and i wish we could get all the edited stuff like this scene there is so much edited out in the final cut even the canteen song which is so much fun. i wish we could get access to the edited stuff for the this film too

Also May I mention the kiss??? am I allowed too HHAHA now you knwo guys i am not a fan of all this and i find it really awkward and weird the way it is shown in desi films and tv But this was Genuinly so HOT and so aesthetically shown and Bhai mera toh sar chakra gaya thinking of har kamar tootna the girl is bending over her back in that khidki with rain and the dust(from the roof) falling in her eyes as they said ti was really old place and the roof was falling out but wow at the way it was done. i just loved loved the feel in it the emotion and how again it was done with so much cuteness woh pehli stolen kiss wali full feel without making it vulgar or unbearable ughghghgh and also a full on Kiss no cheating
