Toh Deepika na kab bola ke bas sirf wohi charity kar rahi hai. She is channelling all her fans love for her into something worthwhile and important. They get a way to connect with their favs and she gets the funds for the cause she and her foundation stands for. In the long run all these people will feel good about the contribution and change they could bring in through this.

And we all give/donate old clothes,specially winter wear to charity directly if that's the need or those clothes are sold by organizations to hawkers and the likes to get money. NGO and foundations function that way from time immemorial. From C.R.Y,CINI to Helpage India.

There are people who love to buy stuff from their favorite celebrities and keep them as memorabilia....

Yes. I think the main reason is she want to get rid of her clothes. Charity is just a bahana and a by product. It looked to me like a show off. Self accepting she is superstar. Stars need to be grounded.
