Another bit I liked around that time was the way HS questioned Mickey for hanging around Mini.

He was being all affable on the surface but there was a colder edge rippling under the surface and a warning in his eyes telling Mickey to be careful with what he was saying and doing....

I actually wanted to see more exploration of HS going protective Dad about Mini if a guy tries to pursue her. I guess that time hasn’t come with MM yet....lol

What was fascinating about that scene was the way Anirudh played the switch between affable and a colder, almost slightly menacing side. There are those other sides to HS that hardly come to the fore , but the way they hint at them under the surface and the way Aniruddh plays the hints of those layers is really well done.

This summerises the whole HS-Minnie relationship. He has become her father long ago but she hasn't realised it.

Realise toh tabh kare na jabh yeh ladhki apne baarein mein soche. Even if she thought that the lines were blurring regarding their relationship, she didn't sit down to think about what he means to her.

This was bound to happen with people being frustrated with the current state of the show. I'm pleasantly surprised that it's still not as bad some of the other forums. Much like PB is better than others on ITV. 😆

Anyway, there's always this thread or your threads for these type of discussions.

LOL yes it’s still not as bad as other forums. But all forums get to the same lame fanwars when people start resenting some characters at the cost of others....as is being done here with the resentment against Mini and HS.

Oh well, yeah I’ll discuss where I can. It’s obvious there is no point discussing things with people who seem to think we only want HS-Mini at the cost of Babita. You can’t convince people who insist on twisting things and trying to label HS-Mini fans as hypocrites 🤷‍♀️

2. Aniruddh was great as usual in that scene. Infact he is great in all the scenes.

I have loved all the moments when HS-Mickey have interacted especially related to Babita-Mini. HS not just being the strict father, but even his switch to being flustered each time Mickey asks about Babita and not being able to define that relationship.

Remember when NB had come to HS regarding MiMi and HS had that talk with him? Tere dad farmer hai, lagta toh nahi, Hoshiyarpur ke Hoshiyar. 🤣

I don't think this protective attitude would be seen with Mickey. He's been accepted into HS' family by extention. HS actually trusts this kid. Of course, if MiMi end up dating, that'll be a different matter, more so because of Preet.

Imagine him finding out about Bobby's feelings. 🤣 Though, Bobby would get so scared I don't think it'll be as funny as HS intimidating someone like Mickey.

This reminds me, I wanted to ask what you guys thought about the chowkidaar remark by Mickey. Why was it made? I truly thought he respects HS too much to say something like that.

It also felt weird that all Mini did to rebuke him was give him a look. Was that Mickey's frustration as Mini's friend about what she was going through? Was that blatant disrespect?

Hoga, realise hoga jab wo apne maa ke piche bhaagna chod degi. Looking at Babitha's behaviour nowadays the day is not far away when Mini stops thinking about her babes happiness and concentrate on her own needs. I hope the makers are going in this direction.

I can't even imagine what she'll be labelled as if she stopped thinking about Babita. Abhi she's mahaan, then she'll be selfish.

Actually off late, I’ve found Mickey to be weird about HS in general. I also found it damn creepy when he was trying to be wink wink nod nod with HS about his suhaag raat with Babita 🙄

I found it to be pretty crass for him to be saying that to HS ka face.

As for the chowkidaar comment, I guess he said it off hand to comment about how Mini has a protector in HS. But Mickey has gotten too familiar with HS off late and basic respect waali line is blurred. He treats HS more like a buddy than respecting him as an elder 🙄

But I honestly didn’t think they became THAT good friends also that Mickey takes so many liberties. They’ve barely interacted since the hug from the Poonam incident....this is another relationship that had lacked continuity in terms of development.
