I don't know if that's necessarily a bad thing. Agar shaadi mein pyaar hi na ho toh woh shaadi hi kya? And given how Babita was brought up, this would have been ingrained within her.

But it's her second chance at life. I had hoped ki she would have taken things a little more into consideration. Given her and HS a little more time to figure things out or at least TALK about things before getting married but inhe pata ni kis baat ki jaldi thi. 🤔

That's not what I meant.....obviously shaadi should have pyar....but the way small town people approach it is that shaadi ke baad wala affection means pyar......they conflate attraction and desire with love.

Love itself is far beyond all that...has so much more to it.....that is what they don't get.....Shaadi gives them a sanction to call it "love"....because people are brought up with the mentality that pyar is paap unless you have shaadi ka sanction. So they twist it all up.....that is how Babita also seems to be approaching it.....Ashok gave her some affection after marriage so she thinks he loved her....that's not what love is.

HS also either doesn't realize that love is more than just shaadi wala pyaar or he's too scared to discuss the topic with Babita since she seems to have a mental block about it.....given the dopey looks she was giving him when he told her they had an awareness between them since way back, I doubt she will comprehend if he tells her about love before marriage.....lol....it's easier for her to pretend she was a "responsible" mother who just married him to give her daughter a father.....lol

You know why we all still watch this show? LOL cuz after ALL our frustrations, this show still makes us THINK.....which literally ZERO other shows on ITV make us do right now......that is what we keep coming back for.

So many pages of discussion despite the fact that the story is kinda stuck these days.....loll cuz we are SO invested in these characters and this journey that we can't help but think about them even if we just want to chuck it all and walk away from the bheja fry😆

I was actually surprised by how respectful and mature this forum was. All the other ones that I've visited in the past was filled with some interesting characters and was a hot mess all around. 😆 But I'm so happy I found this place. 🤗

LOL....there's a unique promise Babita holds for him....he didn't even DESIRE another woman all these years.....so how would he choose a simpler route? Aur koi achhi hi nahin lagi na ise after Imarti.....bas Babita hi achhi lagi😆

Desire only arose for Babita....that is why he pursued her only.....despite the tough work. He isn't really one to shy away from a challenge even if he prefers things to be simple and straightforward otherwise😆

This is HS and Minnie's doing - they need to come clean with her and stop pretending that they are ok with what she's doing. They have to stop shielding her and being so over-protective or she will continue to live in this bubble.

And HS really needs to revisit his no more tears policy. Obviously Johnson's baby shampoo is not working for anyone.
